In what most of us would consider an absolute, crazy act, Goodman considered her situation to be an emergency and even stated so to the police officers responding to the calls.
Latreasa Goodman's police report states that Goodman became irate with a McDonald's employee after she ordered 10 piece McNuggets, and after paying was informed that McDonald's was out of McNuggets. The McDonald's cashier refused to issue Goodman a refund, stating that McDonald's policy is "all sales are final". The cashier did try to offer Goodman other food selections, such as fries and a McDouble. Goodman refused other foods and wanted her refund.
Goodman then left the establishment and started placing 911 phone calls, stating her emergency over not receiving her Chicken McNuggets and not receiving a refund she demanded. TMZ posted the audio of Goodman's 911 phone calls. In the audio, Goodman is clearly heard re-telling her "McNugget Gate" ordeal, and calling three times to get police to respond to her "chicken emergency".
Even after the responding police officer cited Goodman over the 911 phone calls, and explained that the 911 system is only for actual emergencies only, Goodman still insisted that she had a Chicken McNugget related emergency. Her statement to the responding police officer is as follows, "This is an emergency, my McNuggets are an emergency."

Post a CommentIt is so sad that so many bloggers got taken in by this story and sided with McDonalds. Latreasa Davis should get an attorney and sue for defamation of character.
Can anyone here recall one thing you've ever purchased, paid in advance, and then were told you would be given something else of equal or greater value, and you had no choice in the matter?
Great big civil matter. Police have to respond before the irate customers start throwing things around and busting people over the head with their not so tender chicken tenders
I'm all for putting a stop to trivial 911 calls. But this woman had a valid arguement. She ordered something, they didn't have it, she should receive her money back, no questions asked. If the situation were reversed and any one of us went into a restaurant and ordered breakfast, sat and ate it, and told the waitress we didn't have money to pay for it 911 would be called and we would most likely be arrested.
The item she ordered is irrelevant, if you go to any retail location or restaurant you are entitled to receive what you paid for and if that isn't available you are entitled to a refund. If you ordered and paid for a car and the dealer didn't have it and told you to pick another you would want your money back, if you ordered and paid for black suit and you received a blue suit you would want your money back. The fact that this was an order of chicken mcnuggets means absolutely nothing.
Rodney,Reasonable? Why not waste some more taxpayer money for a MORON who should not be using a cell phone (or driving to McDonalds).
Lawsuit NOT lawsuite,Bastards NOT Basturds.
Try spell check.
that's grounds for a lawsuite, the cheap basturds takes your money. no refunds. your choice, kill them,or sue them.
fucking niggers
I guess when you want, you gotta have 'em...yeesh.
whoa, what a piece of work!
She might've had a sort of theft complaint...but 911?
