Most people are happy to reach age 100, but what if you could live to be 130? One woman in Kazakhstan claims she'll be celebrating her 130th birthday in March of 2009. Until recently, the oldest person was 116. If reports are true, Sakhan Dosova will actually be 14 years older than the current record.

How does someone live to be 130? According to Dosova, humor is the key to her longevity. By the time most people are 40, they are making at least yearly visits to a doctor. By age 60, many people are taking several prescriptions for their heart, cholesterol, and other ailments. Dosova, on the other hand, has never visited a doctor. The Daily Mail states that she's never even taken any pills when she was ill. Instead, she used her grandmother's home remedies.

According the Daily Mail, Sakhan Dosova was born on March 27th, 1879 and has ten children. The recent census turned her city wide fame into a worldwide story. Though many don't believe she can actually be 130, her date of birth has so far been proven by all of the documents Kazakh officials have reviewed. Dosova; however, has absolutely no doubts at all about her age and is enjoying her newfound fame. The head of the social and demographical department of Karaganga regional statistics bureau, Nailya Dosayeva states her claim is genuine.

Someone that's lived for 130 years has seen an amazing amount of history. Dosova was born the same year as Einstein and Stalin. She's seen both World Wars and the Russian Revolution. While most of us can't remember a time without electricity, the light bulb was invented the year she was born, so electricity was still new when she was little. Dosova has also been witness to the creation of the automobile.

Sakhan Dosova has outlived seven of her ten children. According to the Daily Mail, she is currently living with one of her granddaughters. They live in a crowded flat, with less than perfect conditions. Her health; however, is still fairly good. Her hearing is the biggest issue she has health wise at the moment. If the claims are true, Dosova is healthier at 130 than most 70 and 80 year olds.

With all the stress most people are under, maybe there is truth to her statement that humor and a good mood have helped her live longer than anyone else. Stress can lead to many health conditions, so a happy life could very well equal longer life.

Dosova's claim is still being reviewed. The February and March 2009 census recently discovered the possibility that Sakhan Dosova might actually be 130. Until all facts are completely verified, the title of oldest living person belongs to Edna Parker at the ripe old age of 114.
