Woman Prostitutes 7-year-old Daughter to Undercover Cop
On Friday, the woman was arrested at a hotel Detroit Metropolitan Airport, the location where she planned on meeting the undercover investigator. After meeting the investigator, she also met the the Wayne County Sheriff's Department when the handcuffs were slapped on her.
In court, the woman's lawyer entered a plea of not guilty since she could not be present at the hearing. She was held on a $1 million bail for all five charges held against her. Her preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 12, 2007.
When she met the undercover investigator, she discussed payment with him in exchange for sex with the child, sealing her fate as a criminal.
Sheriff Warren Evans told the press that "This is a truly horrifying case to think that a woman would offer up her own daughter in this way."
The identity of the woman and the 7-year-old girl have not been released to protect the child and family of the woman. In addition, the woman had 4 other child, ages 12, 11, 9, and 6 who are currently in protective custody with the 7-year-old. The children all lived with the woman in her home in a nearby Detroit suburb.
If the woman ends up being found guilty on all 5 charges, she could be in jail for up to 20 years and lose full custody of all 5 children.
