Woman's Work

Apples and Peaches

(......&-^.....) laid it down. Ian Claridge.
This woman you gave me,
a crushing blow,
this indictment,
let it show,
you know him not,
this Fathers son,
with grief and woe,
he loved her so,
flesh of my flesh,
bone of my bone,
blood,
sweat,
or tears,
I did eat,
my flesh is weak,
but my spirit is unwilling,
to let her go.

This woman you put here to be with me,
she gave it to me,
and I did eat.

When he comes back next night,
you will not find me sleeping,
this woman's work,
is not for man,
no mans for her,
he will not take my crown that you gave me,
she is too precious,
last time water,
blood,
sweat,
and tears,
now he comes again,
I chase ^him^ into the fire,
I be a worm,
this woman's work.

GIVE HER BACK!
this woman's work.
