Women: First Date Fashion Tips

So you waited anxiously by the phone or maybe you were the one to make first contact. The conversation went well and you found out that you both have so much in common. The date has been set and the butterflies in your stomach quieted. Now it's time for the moment of truth and you realize you have no idea what you're going to wear. It's important to figure out where the date is going to be.

If you are going to a nightclub wear, comfortable heels and a sexy top with some trendy jeans or a racy black dress. For a lunch date, a concert, or a ball game, your dress can be more informal. Try wearing jeans or slacks, a short heel or ballet flat, and a top that reflects your personal style. You could wear a soft lacy top, a tank and sweaters set, or even the t-shirt of your favorite band, as long as it is clean and presentable. For a dinner date, try a classic mini sheath dress in a bold color and neutral heels, or when in doubt, reach in your closet for that little black dress. Factor in the season, the fashion trends, and the location of your date. During the spring try a floral sundress with straps and a low back to showcase your neckline. There is something utterly feminine about this look that not many men can resist.

Update your shorts and flip-flop look in the summer with linen shorts, a pastel tank top and kitten heels. In the fall show your warmer side with cinnamon and cranberry hues. Make use of your hip-hugging jeans and a soft touchable long-sleeved shirt that dips just low enough in the front to excite his imagination. Winter time calls for more clothing, but you can still be alluring in a fitted low-cut sweater top, leather pants and high heel boots.

When it comes to your makeup, remember that less is more. For kissable lips, use a sheer but colored gloss. Play up the expressiveness of your eyes with liner and mascara and use a neutral shade of eye-shadow. Give your face definition by applying blush to your cheekbones. Use bold and exciting colors like red, yellow, purple and orange. These colors exude confidence, and make a person stand up and take notice. Most importantly have fun and don't' try to hard. The best accessory you can wear is a smile.
