S. Ann
One of the most prevalent issues that affect women all over the country today is their weight problem. Because of the rich western diet, women tend to gain a few pounds especially when they age and have kids. Normally, women who used to be very thin in their early years would gain some weight over time. If a woman is not really careful of the things that she eats, such weight gain would accumulate and she would be way beyond her idea weight. Note that eating some much sweet and fatty food could really make one gain so much weight in such a short time.

Although our present society dictated that thin is beautiful such harsh judgment of society on the bodies of women is not the only reason why women should stay within their idea weight. Being overweight would bring a lot of health problems. Women who have reached more than 15% of their idea weight should seriously consider losing some of that extra fat in their body for their own sake. Type II diabetes a common consequence of obesity and so is heart problems. More over, if you get heavy, you may cause your joints and muscles to strain against your weight. The more you gain weight, the more you will be a risk for certain types of diseases.

Going on a diet

Dieting doesn't have to cause so much pains and suffering on women. One can actually lose weight without damaging ones health. If you are one of those women who are above their idea weight, you can still slim down without really resorting to those bad eating habits that could end up to a lot of troubles. If you are really serious about losing some weight, you should start by having a healthy diet. High fiber and high protein diet would help you pack up more muscles than fats. Furthermore, a high fiber diet would leave you feeling full for a longer period of time so that you can avoid snacking in between meals.

When you eat, make sure that you eat only enough to keep yourself nourish. There is no point of eating too much because this will only make you feel tired and sluggish. You may have noticed that after you have eaten a large meal, you often feel tired and sleepy; this is because you body is not really built to accommodate so much food at the same time.
