Women's Bodies Are Different so Weight Loss Should Be Looked at Differently

Women are designed different then men. Everyone know this simple statement. But when it comes to weight loss, I do not think that everyone truly realizes this. Women need a different look at weight loss than men.

Women's metabolisms work slower than men's. Men just have a built in system that goes quicker. As a woman have you ever sat and eaten the same food as a man, same amount and notice that he does not gain a pound and you gain two? Men first of all need more food in their bodies because they have more muscle mass due to testosterone within their bodies. Women have testosterone as well but in a lot smaller amounts then their male counterpart. So men need more food to maintain their muscle mass and muscle burns more energy and calories then fat does. It seems so complicated but it really is not. Men have more muscle so they have a higher metabolism.

Women should definitely do weight training to help build their own muscle mass. They have no worries about bulking up since we have less testosterone so our bodies just look tone and lean. Using no more then a five pound weight since there is no need for anything but a resistance again because we are not building up muscle just making muscles. A few work outs with weight will show a huge improvement over time. Resistance bands are also great to tone up the body.

Water weight is also a huge factor that can bulk up a woman. Women retain more liquids especially around their periods. There are water pills women can take to get rid of all the excess water in their bodies. I know women who have taken these pills and instantly lost five pounds. These pills are very unhealthy because dehydrating the body can have traumatic effects on the body. So a simpler way to lose water weight, is drink more water. It seems like an odd thing to do to release water from the body but it is the best way and the healthiest way to release excess water. Keeping yourself hydrated keeps the water flowing within the body and keeps all excess water will eventually will be eliminated from the body. So having a water bottle by your side is the best way to go. I like to add sugar free calorie free flavor packets to my water. You can also add cucumbers, lemons, or limes to water to add a little refreshing flavor to the water. Water is the best way to do when having to drink next would be 100% fruit or vegetable juices. Sodas and sugary drinks add on lots of calories into a persons diet. Drinking a lot of these drinks onto the day while having a healthy diet can completely destroy the diet. Do not drink you calories it is a simple way to avoid weight gain.

Overall women should realize their bodies are different so they should take the steps they need to lose those extra pounds.
