Dealing with Relationships as Women

Stephanie Jeannot
"To know someone here or there with whom you can feel there is understanding in spite of distances or thoughts expressed. That can make life a garden."
- Goethe

Relationships are something that we deal with as individuals on a daily basis. You build on something with someone that you've made a connection with to make the connection grow into what you think it is worth. Relationships are crafted to be exceptionally smooth, but life doesn't always happen that way. Whether it is with family, friends, a co-worker, love interest or with God, it is a relationship that deserves to be worked on to keep it going strong and healthy.

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
- Matthew 6:21

New relationships come into effect almost every day. Love can be a beautiful thing sometimes, if you treat it as a blessing and nurture it. Love can be the most beautiful thing in the world.

Have you ever wondered what it is that adds strength in couples who have the ability to stick to a committed relationship that has lasted for over 35 years. What made their relationships so strong when there are relationships that are strong and then wilt after 10 years? Questions like this arouse especially with the amounts of love relationships that do not last. What made the still in love after fifty years couples successful? For some, the know hows of handling love is natural, but there are still some out there who like to gain some extra knowledge that they can apply to that they already may or may not know.

For Women Only (What You Need To Know About The Inner Lives Of Men) is a guide for woman to know what's going on in a man's mind? Every so often, there are times that a woman might wonder, why is he acting like that or how he would expect me to react if certain situations occurred? This book gives readers a chance to dig deeper in the mind and heart of a man; their man.

The author of the book, Shaunti Feldhahn is a newspaper columnist with a Christian perspective. Her focus is usually on women's issues and with her husband leads a small church group for couple's seeking more intimacy with God and with each other. She wrote a book for women by surveying 400 men of all ages and asking them simple questions that she thought were important for women to know. She asked men of all faiths and walks of life and gave different estimates and elaborated on different topics of foci.

"Loveliest of women! heaven is in thy soul, Beauty and virtue shine forever round thee, Bright'ning each other! thou art all divine! "
- Joseph Addison

As the world turns and as the day goes by, sometimes the need of an undercurrent of peacefulness becomes necessary. No matter what it is, there is often some kind of drama that steps into the lane and drives doubt at me to knock me down. The heart, mind and spirit often craves for a stream of faith and often times the need arises to find ways to encourage yourself. Maybe that is the time that you are supposed to encourage yourself in the Lord.

"And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil."
- Luke 11:1-4 KJV

Today's world is a place that is need of an abundance of faith. There are more kids dying these days than I can ever remember. Woman often hold on to fear of the worst for their children. The economy is going really bad and there are a lot of companies cutting back on staff. Women have to deal with the thought of the what ifs of life. People are losing their homes. Soldiers are fighting and losing their lives. Women and children are being violated everyday. Racism still exists. People are still being denied their human rights all over the world. There are more youth turning their lives over to the drug and street life than to the books and school. There are more people who would rather try to rob people to get the things they want than to work a respectable 9 to 5. There are people who will rather use a weapon to get their revenge than to forgive like God has forgiven us. The world needs transformation. We need a change of heart and to be clothed in our right mind. We need a renewal of faith and prayer means a lot because God does hear us when we call.

There is nothing wrong with being thankful for all our blessings. And there are times that as women, we feel the urge to pray and praise the Lord for all he has done but may not always find the right words to say. One-Minute Prayers For Women is a book of short, heartfelt prayers. 279 pages make up this hard covered book. These prayers are on a number of different topics that were made especially for women by the author Hope Lyda. Each prayer begins with a scripture which leads you into prayer mode. Some of the topics featured are The Past, Abundance, Letting Go, Dancing, Stepping Out, Relationships, Purpose, Responsibility, and Speaking Up. This book has the ability to change your tightly shaped heart into reshape and expand it. This book is actually a good one to use for meditation. You can read and then close your eyes and dwell on God's word to lead you to that communion with him and in turn, this book does the job of drawing you nearer to God as it is intended to.

Rich and happy sounds of Gospel music definitely works but listening to good music is not always available, though it does have the effect of picking me up when I am down. Coffee does take me into the rest of the day, but how many cups of coffee can a person actually drink in a day without getting dehydrated? What my heart really needs is to drink from a word that horns heavy with an important message.

Little Book of Big Bible Promises For Women is a really good book. Within the pages of Alice Chopin's daily reader are perfectly beautiful words full of truth and life. The book is a little fat book with 267 pages that is small enough to fit in a purse. Each daily read takes up about 1 minute and in that short time, the words have the power to conduct my flow from the lonely caccoon to the flight of a freedom butterfly, and I love that. It isn't a replacement for a Bible which you should still read everyday, but it is a book that really does mellow me out When I need shelter from the rain, I can gain courage to follow through the day without showing my emotions like the cover of a book. And when difficulties come along the way, I become full of light from the truth that enters into my heart to set me free. And when I find that I am at odds with the people around me, and energy of love makes me look deeply within myself to strengthen me in the most amazing ways. The words really speak to me and build me to be that phenomenal woman that God created me to be. A great book for all woman.

Sometimes women need to be reassured of their value. Sometimes women just need to be reminded that they have been fearfully and wonderfully made. And sometimes women need to build up on their faith and knowledge of things to keep them ever strong. For everything we think we know, there is something we don't know and there is nothing wrong with seeking for the things we deserve to know. That's what life is all about.
