I have been reading Women's Health for the past year. The sister magazine to Men's Health, it is everything a woman could look for in a magazine and more. Each month Women's Health has five sections, called reports, with the latest and most up to date information on health, sex, fitness, nutrition, and weight loss. Each magazine also has a letter from the editor, and a column called, The Average Woman and her Friday night. Here, Women's Health compares average women and what they eat, drink, drive, or like in a man. You name it, and they compare it.
Women's Health includes informative and useful exercises, including yoga. There is often a pull out section that you can pin right to your wall and look at while you are working out. What I like most about the exercises is they give you a whole body workout instead of focusing on one section. Each month, Women's Health has different routines and different ways to exercise. They keep it interesting for us.
The magazine also focuses on various sports. They share information on mountain climbing, hiking, and biking. They know that their readers are not all just the "go to the gym and call it a day type." Many women are very athletic and the magazine spotlights those women that are looking for a new thrill.
Since reading the magazine, I have learned what some of the healthiest foods are, including which fruits and vegetables to eat and why. I have also found out which fruits and vegetables fight cancer. With cancer running in my family, eating the right foods is very important to me and my family. They also include foods that can help you lose weight, feel full longer, and fight disease.
But it's not all health talk; Women's Health always has fun interviews with celebrities, recipes, short stories, information on beauty, and sometimes very interesting features (even those that include an ultimate guide to your....vagina.)
Overall, I would recommend Women's Health to any woman looking to take charge of her body. You can order it on-line at www.womenshealthmag.com, or pick one up at any super market. So get a copy, and get on your way to a healthier new you.
