Then here is the best news you will hear in very long time. There is a regimen that will guarantee you will lose weight and keep it off. What would you pay for this information?
$10.00, $25.00 - $50.00? Well, it won't cost that much or even close. If you agree to this regimen today, you will lose weight...and it's FREE! That's right - absolutely free. No pills, gums, drinks or expense.
This is called the Eat Sensibly and Live program. Oh, you're disappointed? Thought it was a miracle weight loss plan? Well, chubby one, there ain't no such animal! That's right, to lose weight you must eat fewer calories than you need and get off that couch and move.
In the past ten years this nation has gone to great extremes with diet pills, shakes, gums and pre-measured diet plans. These don't work. Why? Because you can't 'diet', you must form healthy eating habits and make them your way of living. Yes, you may lose weight at first, but believe me - it will creep back. Once the diet pill wears off you will be standing as close to the food in the refrigerator as possible, shoveling it in your drooling mouth. Not a pretty picture.
Your body is a machine with working parts. These parts need fuel to sustain them. A crème-filled cupcake is NOT fuel, it is garbage that will foul your mechanisms and cause you run down after a quick sugar high. An apple is food.
We have become so used to fast food that we have come to rely on it, and it makes us feel cozy and full. Of course we are full, full of fat, preservatives and a long list of things that our bodies don't need. It isn't easy to change long-established eating habits. So be gentle with yourself and remember, we fall before we get up.
A healthy person needs about 2200 calories a day...men slightly more. Let's break that down. One doughnut, 300 calories. Ice cream for a snack, 200 calories. A bag of chips for lunch, 350 to 500 calories. Total please: almost one thousand, or half your allotted daily intake. And be honest, it would really be a few doughnuts, a few candy bars and a saturated fat feast at the local drive thru.
You can eat all day - IF you eat the right things. Celery is actually a negative-calorie food. The energy you expend to eat a stalk uses more calories than the celery contains. Apples are great before dinner, to help appetite control. A nice hot cup of green tea will soothe you through an afternoon. It has antioxidants and suppresses your appetite, and if your belly is filled with tea, you aren't going to be hungry.
Many experts agree, if you once stay away from high fat food for a few days, you will not miss it. Same with sugar. Sugar is addictive and gives you cravings for more. While one egg is 80 calories compared to a chocolate bar.
Diet pills can kill you. They are a waste of money and a danger to your health. There isn't any easy answer. It is a matter of calories in - calories burned. If you incorporate a walking program into your new eating routine, you will find those pounds disappearing and staying gone. It's a matter of you wanting to lose - FOR YOU - not for looks, not for prestige, but because you want to be a happy and healthy person for a very long time.
Sorry, you will have to keep your money and make up your mind what you want for yourself. Waddling is only funny with penguins. Being out of breath is for young lovers, who can catch their breath again easily. Love yourself for who you are, but think about giving yourself a healthier, happier person to love.
