But my most favorite store to shop is the Huber Hts. Wal-Mart Super Store. The first place that I head for is the Christmas section where I look at ALL items. I go immediately to the miniature ornament section where I start grabbing all of them that I can see. You see what I do with these cute little Christmas ornaments that are regularly priced at 1-2 dollars, are now priced at 50 cents to 1 dollar, is make Christmas ear rings out of them to sell the following year at Christmas bazaars. You usually get 4-8 ornaments per card and I sell each pair of ear rings for 1 dollar. I make a small profit and it gives me something to do during the cold winter months.
The next place that I go in the Christmas area is the outside lights and decorations. I'm always looking for 50 percent off sales on new lights and decor to add to my many, many tubs of Christmas things that I don't get up each year because I have so much. But what the heck it's half off...right? This year I will be looking for more animated reindeer to add to my small herd and new icicle lights (mine wouldn't work this year) to go around the edge of my awnings.
I also look for red, white, and blue lights because I'm a major red, white and blue fan. I decorate in the spring to honor our fallen heroes and to honor the heroes that are still fighting for our rights and freedoms.
The next place that I visit is the isle that is designed for those of us that have many people to buy for and very little money to spend so we go to the isle that has grouping of 5-10 dollar items such as make-up cases, manicure kits, bubble baths, etc. Here I shop for the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary so that we have gifts to raffle off or give as door prizes for some of our community functions as well as some of my Christmas shopping for the next year.
I put all my new goodies that are not really for anyone specific into a gift tub in my bedroom and whenever I have forgotten someones birthday or another special day I just go to my closet and pull out my goodie tub and I can usually find an appropriate gift for the occasion.
The final place that I go is to the stocking stuffers where I stock up for next year. By shopping the day after Christmas I can afford to make goodies bags for my many great nieces and nephews. It isn't much but it is a bag of silly things just to let them know that I love them and think of them even if I can't get them any of the bigger items on their Christmas list.
To me the best place to shop all year round as well as Dec. 26, is Wal-Mart in Huber Hts. Awe heck, who am I kidding, any Wal-Mart, any where, will do.
Merry Christmas to you and Happy After Christmas shopping to all.
