I picked up the bottle, read the name Wonderful American Beauty, and then gave it a try.
The Scent:
Wonderful smells...well; wonderful.
Wonderful initially smelled like musk mixed with soap. However the soapy smell was a refreshing and dewy one. Not like cheap hotel bar soap, that I cannot stand!
I truly loved it. Mostly though I loved how it was sultry, yet juvenile, yet sophisticated at the same time. I loved how Wonderful, American Beauty would make a perfect 'after shower' perfume, because in many ways it reminded me of what my skin smells like after a bubble bath. Warm, clean, and refreshed.
The Last:
I prayed when I first sprayed Wonderful, American Girl, that it would last, and last, and last, into the night. I sprayed a bit onto my shirt, and then some onto my wrists, and a wee bit in my hair.
About 2 hours into putting Wonderful on, I was no longer able to detect the scent on my skin. I was however able to slightly smell the scent on my shirt still. The scent though was fading, and I knew that in about another hour or so, I would no longer be able to smell it at all.
I was correct in my prediction. An hour later, Wonderful was no longer so wonderful; Wonderful, American Beauty, had vanished. Overall I got about 3 hours out of it. For me a 3 hour last just won't cut it in the competitive world of perfume.
Overall:
Wonderful, American Beauty does smell gorgeous. It is a lovely scent to spritz on after bathing; sadly though Wonderful is a bit disappointing when it comes to packing a long lasting scent.
Wonderful is another one of those gorgeous fragrances that you love to hate... and it is sad that it is solely based on how short of a life it has.
Pricing and Availability:
Wonderful can be found online for close to $40.00. In my opinion that is just way too much money for the last you get from it. I can't really recommend it just because it does not last long. It is a nice scent, yes.... but for the price it asks for, it is just not worth it.
Packaging:
Wonderful American Girl comes in a gorgeous bottle. It stands tall and has a square/rectangular shape. It is the color of the bottle though that really allows it to stick out. The bottle is clear but comes with an icy blue tint that gives off this truly unique glowing color. Unique, but still not worth $40.00.
