CCV, which stands for Christ Church of the Valley, is a wonderful church with activities and programs for everyone! This is a Christian church. They have several services to choose from. They have Saturday night services at 4:30pm and 6:15pm and Sunday services at 9:30am and 11:15am. Dr. Don Wilson is the Senior Pastor and he is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. He teaches wonderful easy to understand sermons that always have a great message in them. The worship is great with live music and sometimes special musical performances.
The children's programs are wonderful. There is a very secure sign in procedure to ensure the children are safe. If you are concerned on your child adjusting they will even give you a beeper and then they will beep you if your child needs you to come and get them. The Sunday school teachers are wonderful with the children and teach them all the important lessons about God. They even reward them weekly for learning Bible verses and bringing their Bible to church. The church offers special things for children such as Christmas performance where the children learn and sing Christmas songs on stage during the Christmas times. It is so cute and the children really enjoy it. They have several Christmas Eve and the day before Christmas Eve sermons for convenience as well. I really think that's great because everyone is so busy during the holidays but still want to make time to attend church as well. During Halloween they have Trunk or treat which is a great alternative to trick or treating as well. During Easter they always have a huge festival with Easter egg hunting and activities like inflatable jumpers and petting zoo.
They also have sporting activities such as soccer leagues for children and adults. They also do organized events like going to Phoenix Suns or Diamondbacks games as a church group. There is always something going on whether it's a MOPS group or learning classes or events or something. They have many programs for all ages from birth to adult. They have parenting classes, bible study groups, single groups, Sunday school, high school and college groups, marriage groups and much more. There is literally something for everyone at this church. They also have special activities during the summer for the children.
The church is very large and is beautiful with wonderful amenities. They have a bookstore, a cafe and coffee bar. I would highly recommend this church for everyone to attend. The church is located conveniently three miles north of the Loop 101 on 67th Ave. The address is 7007 W Happy Valley Rd. You can reach them at 623-376-2444.

Post a CommentWe were told to get off the property because of liability issue. My son and I were riding a bike after playing soccer and approached by a security on a golfcar and told us to leave. Its a private property. ?????? WOW, this is coming from church. I guess you are only allowed on the campus when the church is in service only. I wonder what the Jesus thinks of that. His house under someone else's rule??????
and I were told stay off the property today. Is the house of god has gotten too big that it must operate likes of corporation? Must protect its assets? I wonder.
I do not attend this church. We live close by and my sons and I go ride bike on campus. One day, kids should not ride bike on campus alone, however, since my kids were accompanied by adult, its ok. So, we spend rest of the day riding bike and explored the campus. Today, we ran into a security on a golfcart. He is an older gentlemen. He followed us and when we stop to get a drink of water next to the playground, he sat there watched us. My kids felt threathend, I asked the security why he is following us. He said it was his job. Its his job to take such threathing approach to children to make sure what? we don't steal anything? I must think this is nothing but harrasement by bigot racist old man who has too much time on his hand. I guess he wants to show his athority upon minority people? One adult and two kids on a bicyle does not present any thereat. This is not the first time that we were followed by security. I believe this is the third time that I have noticed. My kids
