Wondering

Coffee Mugg

I sit, eyes will not open,
So many thoughts,
The world has closed in,
And now I escape it's grasp.

Longing for you,
Longing for your love,
Longing for the time,
We will be together.

A willow trees branches,
Whipping in the wind,
White caps on the water,
Ducks are diving.

A beautiful spring day,
To be enjoyed by all,
The children do play,
Grown-ups at the mall.

Life all around,
Bursting with excitement,
I lie on the ground,
Wondering.

I can smell the willows, hear the ducks as they splash around, with the children playing and laughing nearby.......your words pull others into the scene. beautifully written Ken! And thank you so much for the compliment on my poem.
