Wondering Where to Take Your Family
Orlando is Full of Great Spots and You Don't Have to Break Your Budget
Disney Parks are on the top of the list. Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Sea World and Aquatica
These can be a little pricey but they do have the park hopper ticket which you can purchase and it allows you to go to all 4 parks in one day. If you or anyone you know has passes to either of the parks you get %10 off the regular price for visitors.
Gator Land is a crocodile filled park just waiting to be explored. It isn't expensive and there is lots to do and see.
City Walk is located in Universal Studios, this doesn't mean you have to purchase a Universal ticket. If you arrive before 10pm you will have to pay for parking, after 10pm it is free. City Walk has many restaurants, shops, a movie theater and much more. It is surrounded by beautiful lighting and has a boat you can get on that takes you to the other side of City Walk.
Boardwalk is located near resorts and has some Disney shops. It is more to walk and look around, not much to do but still a nice place to see if you don't want to spend any money as you do not have to pay to go there.
Sanford Zoo is fairly inexpensive and showcases many beautiful animals. They have an elephant show and also a petting area. Definitely a place to go if you love animals.
Downtown Disney is a whimsical place, it has all the magic of Disney and more. There are many stores filled with all the Disney characters, Spots you can take pictures at and a air balloon you can ride. There is a restaurant called Bongos in the shape of a pineapple and Pleasure Island which has disco's you can dance in at night. One restaurant that tops the rest is Planet Hollywood, it is filled with movie memorabilia and while you are eating they show movies and documentaries on a huge TV. The Lego store is great for the kids, they can play outside building lego cars or anything their imagination takes them. There is also a playground and a small kids train for $2.00 the kids can ride.
Cirque du Soleil is a circus at Downtown Disney, it is pricey but if you want to be blown away then this place is perfect. They do not have animals like any other circus, but they do many incredible tricks you won't believe your eyes.
Disney Quest is also at Downtown Disney and it is 5 floors of fun, they have drawing classes, game rooms, build your own roller coaster then ride it and much much more. This is well worth the money and isn't expensive.
Florida Mall although not a park is a great place to walk around and look or shop. They have many stores and the M&M store, if you're lucky you will be able to meet a giant M&M character and take pictures.
Old Town is a place that not a lot of people know of. This place is great at night. They have a haunted house, Go Kart racing, Bull riding and a whole lot more. They have a miniature roller coaster for kids and rides as well. Many stores surround Old Town for anything you might like, either for a person or a pet. Be sure to check this spot located in Kissimmee,Fl.
Flea Markets are also a place to visit, there are many in Orlando and some really great ones in Kissimmee.
Lake Eola park is at the center of Downtown Orlando and has pedal boats in the shape of swans you can ride. There is a playground for the kids and many spots you can take pictures that have beautiful landscaping and bridges.
Cypress grove park is also a great place to take the kids and spend some time relaxing if you were busy doing other things all week.
Waterparks are popular in Orlando, especially Sea World's Aquatica, it is fun and unforgettable, but ther is also Typhoon Lagoon where you can swim with manta rays and baby sharks or Blizzard beach where the theme is snow and ice.
There are plenty more things to do, all you have to do is do some research, but at least you have an idea of where to go after reading this article. I hope you or your family get to visit some of these places and enjoy a nice vacation.
