Wondering Why Your Little Girl Wants a Baby

Many young women grow up with the fairytale dream of a husband and kids. Little girls watch television as well as seeing other young girls have kids. I have heard so many horror stories with young girls having babies and wanting to become pregnant. It is shameful and it deprives a young women the opportunity to live out her teenage years full of innocence, childishness, and experiences.

When I watched the Tara show the other day, I saw a young girl state because she was made to babysit her own sisters that she felt she could take care of her own child. She had been trying against the wishes of her mother at 15 to have a child. This young women was ordering online fertility medicine and taking a higher dosage then even recommended. I was in shock in watching this baby feel like babysitting her sisters prepares her for her own child. The reason she is having those thoughts is that she lacks sufficient love and attention from her mother all together. She feels since she is having to be dependent and the head of the house while her mother works or goes out, then she can do it all on her own.

She is not thinking about how she needs to have a roof over her head along with her child or childrens head. She is growing up with the dependency of becoming a play parent. That is the problem today; there are to many play parents in this world. They never get the gist of responsiblity that comes along with being a parent. When a mother does not invest the time in properly talking with her daughter, teaching her what the true meaning of love is, or making sure she knows what being a good nuturer means, then she ends in wanting her own mistake at a young age.

I watched another young women grow up constantly dreaming to have her own child since the age of 17 because she wanted to always have the man as part of her life. It goes back to the same story of not being taught properly by the mother in knowing that a man is unattached regardless of the sperm he gives.

Mother's we have to know and learn our daughters and make sure they don't become a statistic in this environment. They best way to make sure your daughter knows everything she needs in order to have a fulfilling life; love her and take care of her. Ensure that you are setting the right example to how life is to be lead, let her know if she can never go to anyone else she can always talk to you. Open your heart and mind to hear her concerns, desires & needs. As in any relationship, communication is the key.

Let your baby know that she doesn't need a baby to be a nuturer or to have a good man in her life.
