Our waiter was friendly and helpful throughout. We were also warmly greeted with a basket of piping hot, soft, buttery French rolls. They were so good that we followed up with four more baskets without a problem! They are light and airy enough not to spoil the main meal which is a huge plus.
The food menu selection was surprisingly vast and the pricing was actually decent to what we were anticipating. Most of the entrees offered a choice of the daily soup or salad along with a specialty side such as sweet potatoes or steamed broccoli. This restaurant's specialty is in their mesquite grilled and barbequed meats such as American baby back ribs, steaks, and fresh fish. Pricing ranges from $16 to $22. I ordered a grilled sirloin steak along with a side of their Tri-tip Mushroom soup and steamed broccoli as my complimentary specialty side. All of it was absolutely delicious! I usually do no eat red meat, but this was a definite exception. The rest of my family members ordered the ribs or the fish all of them agreed that their dishes were just as delectable.
This place is definitely a great alternative to popular steakhouse restaurants such as Lucille's where entrees can cost much more and the servings are almost too much to handle. The variety at Wood Ranch Grill is also much better and has more options for those who want to opt out on red meats, but would still like to enjoy the mesquite grilled/barbeque taste in their entrees. Wood Ranch Grill is a chain restaurant and has several branches throughout southern California. Dine at one today - you won't be disappointed!
