Actually, the Northwest School of Wooden BoatBuilding (NWSWB) claims to be the only traditional school in the world to use the distinctive methods of boat building which were developed in THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST in the early 20th century. And yes, it is trues and does have that distinction. There are, however, a number of wonderful boat building schools across the United States and internationally that have their own histories and designated specialties. NWSWB is accredited for associate occupational studies degrees and is approved for student loans and grants, but also has community courses and summer classes that are at lower rates.
