Woody Flares up Again

Paparazzos are always getting up in celebrities faces. Most of the celebrities ignore them and move on, but some of them just can't take it and they last out. This is what photographer for TMZ.com's Josh Levine is accusing Woody Harrelson of doing last June in front of the Hollywood club element. The star was leaving the club with three women and two men when Levine and other photographers started doing their thing.

On Monday Levine sued Harrelson for a hefty $2.5 million. He maintains that the star assaulted him outside of the club while he was attempting to take pictures of him.

TMZ posted tape of Levine doing all he could to get Woody's attention. He even tells the actor that he was waiting for him because, "You're just so sexy." Levine continues to follow Harrelson and party down the street until he manages to get his attention. Woody walked over to Levine and covered the camera with his hand.

Levine states that when Harrelson covered the camera with his hand, he shoved the camera into his ribs and broke the equipment instantly. This statement was made in his lawsuit filled with the Los Angeles Supreme Court. The lawsuit continues to state that Harrelson put both of his hands around Levine's neck and threatened him.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office decided not to press felony charges again Harrelson. Prosecutors said that the footage of the incident didn't prove that Harrelson had intended to break the camera or cause Levine bodily harm. Misdemeanor charges have also been decided against.

When the incident occurred, Levine filed a police report that said Harrelson had broken the viewfinder on his camera. At that point Levine switched to a digital camera and that's when Harrelson approached him and grabbed his neck. Levine states that Harrelson's actions left him with minor abrasions that required treatment at a nearby hospital.

This is not the first time Woody Harrelson has been involved in heated exchanges with paparazzis or other onlookers.

Woodrow Tracy Harrelson (born July 23, 1961) has won an Emmy and been nominated for an Academy Award. He is perhaps best known for his role in the popular 1980s sitcom Cheers. He's also performed in such hit films as Natural Born Killers, Kingpin and a Prairie Home Companion.

Woody was born in Midland, Texas and grew up in Lebanon, Ohio. He attended Hanover College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts and English in 1983.
