'Woof Wednesdays' at Ferndale's Kulick Center

Is your dog sick of you and your human friends? In need of canine companionship? Bring him or her to the weekly "Woof Wednesday" assembly at Ferndale's Kulick Community Center, 1201 Livernois.

All they ask is that Fido or Freida arrive on a leash, behave themselves and are current on vaccinations.

For the human aspect, pet owners get to make new friends, arrange mutual pet-walking times and share doggie stories.

Kulick staffers will conduct giveaways, contests and other activities, while providing info on local services for Ferndale's finest pooches.

Participants are invited to assemble their dogs "under the big tree by the outdoor basketball court." We have to admit, our first thought is, "That poor tree." At least it's not a fire hydrant.

Admission is free, both for you and your dog.
