Work at Home Customer Service Agents

Here are a few more companies that are looking for customer service agents to work from home.

The first company is called OxfordSVI, Inc., which is company that deals with technology solutions and information for their customers. The company offers a variety of technical products. The company is looking for home agents to answer inbound customer calls to assist the company's customers with technical issues involving the company's video-on-demand solutions. As a home agent, you will have the benefit to pick your own schedule and, of course, spend more time at home or with family. However, there are some requirements as with all jobs. You will need a professional and pleasant phone manner, a reliable, quiet, and professional home office; previous customer service experience is preferred, but not required. You also will need high-speed internet, a land line phone with call waiting disabled when working. The phone needs to have a headset jack for headphones. A reliable computer with Microsoft XP, with Service Pack 2, updated anti-virus and anti-spy software, IE 6.0, Pentium 3 or higher, 1.2 Ghz processor, 512 RAM, and at least one USB port.

OxfordSVI provides a paid 2-3 week training, along with a salary and a benefits package. This sounds like a very good opportunity. I like the benefits package myself. Many companies that hire home agents don't offer benefits. I'm not sure if this is a local only home based job since there is a training program, but you can check with the company prior to sending your information. To apply, email your resume to employment@svi.com or fax to 309-272-5127. Include a cover letter and salary history. For more information about this company, visit http://www.svi.com/corp/index.asp.

Another company looking to hire home based customer service agents is ICT. ICT is a supplier of Customer relationship management or CRM software. They have employees all over the world and is now seeking home based customer service agents to help them service their clients and customers. Home agents will handle inbound customer service and sales calls. You will use your own computer equipped with high-speed internet access, Windows 2000 or XP, IE 6.0, updated anti-virus software, 512 MB RAM, and at least 800 Mhz processing speed. You will need a land line phone with call waiting and voicemail deactviated, previous customer service or sales experience. To apply for this position, visit their website, http://www.ictgroup.com/careers/index.html, and complete an application.

The final company is Rich Enterprises, who is looking for customer service agents for various customer service or sales positions. Your job will be to contact former and present customers and offer a number of different products or services the company offers. You will also contact customers to ensure satisfaction with product or service. Since this job involves upsells, which means offering customers additional products or services, you will need to have sales, telemarketing, or a strong customer service background. If you are not comfortable with selling, then this job may not be for you. Upsells are not hard sells; however, you will need to be comfortable with offering additional products or services that customers may not be interested or aware of when you speak with them. Your success with companies like this one, is you ability to achieve a certain number of upsells. The company conducts a background check on each prospective employee. For more information and complete an application, visit their website at http://www.richcrm.com/careers.htm.

As with all work from home opportunities, be sure to do your research. Don't be discouraged if you apply and don't hear from the company immediately. usually these companies are bombarded with applicants.
