I saw something about ChaCha on someone's blog and thought that I would try it out. You have to take a test and if you pass it you can become one of their guides. You must be 18 years old, be able to type, and have your own computer with a high-speed internet connection. As a guide, you answer questions that people text to ChaCha from their cell phones. You would use ChaCha's search engine to scour the web for an answer.
Is ChaCha a scam or a real legitimate work at home job? Here it is - ChaCha is not a scam. It is real work you can do from home on your computer. There are no up front fees, and they actually pay you. I have consistently gotten paid from them with no problems. You might be wondering how they can pay you when their service is free. Well according to ChaCha they earn revenue from advertising and through its strategic partnerships.
I have personally made over $100.00 in one week as a guide for ChaCha. It is work, and the payment per text does not add up to a full time income. If you are a stay at home mom desperate for a work at home job then ChaCha could be for you. You get a flat fee for each question that you answer, keeping in mind that some questions might take up to 10 minutes or longer in order to find an acceptable answer.
I think ChaCha is good for earning some money, but not as a job. It would be better thought of as extra income. This is a great opportunity for people who need to work from home. You should note that it can be time consuming and certain times of the day are busier than others. However, if you need some extra cash you might want to give it a try.
The best thing about being a ChaCha guide is the flexibility. You can work for a few minutes or for a few hours. If you need to take a break (for children, a phone call, bathroom break, etc.) you can take it whenever you want. You set your own hours or just work whenever you want or when you have the time. The worst things about the job are the vulgar questions, and sometimes-rude comments made to you if someone didn't get the answer they wanted.
What kind of questions do the texters ask? They ask all kinds of questions: weather related, driving directions, business info, stock quotes, general knowledge, homework help questions and everything else under the sun. They will ask pretty much anything and everything. Here is a sample of texts that I have answered: "What does GU stand for on the NFL players jersey's?" and "How old is Hannah Montana's Miley Cyrus?"
If you want to become a guide, first you will need to fill out an application with ChaCha. If your application is accepted then you will need to take a test. The guide test has three sections you would need to complete. First is a multiple-choice test on ChaCha history and facts about the company. Second is a typing test, graded for time and accuracy. The last part of the test is a practice search section, where you have to search the web for an answer.
This is the best way so far that I have found to make an honest income with the computer and internet, and I have been looking for years. Will ChaCha make you rich? No, sorry, but rarely anything will. You get to sit at home working any time you want or not working when you can't. ChaCha is great for college students, people with disabilities, and stay at home moms or dads. Want to become a guide? Go to www.chacha.com to find out more.

Post a CommentI just recently passed the readiness test! It helped a lot to have a referral from a previous guide. I have heard of people who didn’t get accepted because they had no referrals. If you would like to put me down as your referral, my e-mail is usintcool@yahoo.com. Good luck!
Did you know ChaCha has recently updated their dashboard. It's awesome, but here is some ways to make money with ChaCha.
I am looking to make $400 a month with ChaCha. This means answering 360 to 500 questions in one day, making $50.00 a week, and working 5-7 days. Of course you can lower that $400 amount, but keep in mind this is only a part time job.
If you have worked for a call center job, you know how the calls come in back to back. This is the same with ChaCha, except you are at home.
Cheers,
Best Mom Ever

Great article! I wish ChaCha was hiring again. I applied just as they were closing the door to new recruits and didn't get in. I keep checking in with them, but no luck yet :(
