Work Pants for Men as Low as $4 a Pair

My husband works a labor job and goes through work pants like crazy. Because he drives a compacter truck for a trash company, his pants get dirt, spills, paint, chemicals and everything else under the sun on them and he has to keep his good pants separate from his work pants for that reason.

Now that he's reaching his late 30s, he's also starting to grow around the middle and needs to bump up in size on his work pants for comfort and practicality. But I wasn't about to pay $25 to $60 for a pair of blue jeans that were going to get ruined. So I started looking around for a cheaper way to purchase good quality work pants for him and here is where I found the best deals on new and slightly used blue jeans.

Goodwill

Goodwill always has a huge selection of blue jeans to choose from. If you shop here, you may want to give yourself some time to look. Some of the tags are worn out and it's hard to read the sizes. They also mix the sizes and styles together, so you have to look at each and every pair to find the best deals.

In St. Charles, Missouri, I shop the Goodwill in Harvester Plaza next to the McDonald's and the Shop N Save. I found Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, Urban, Wrangler, Levi's and lots of other name brand pants, most of which were only $4 per pair. I recommend checking the Goodwill before you go anywhere. With one good wash, you couldn't tell these pants were recycled.

Kohls

At Kohls you can find great deals on Levi's for men and other name brands and off brands starting around $8 to $12 if you hit a sale. You can sign up for sale notification on line. Dollar General

While their supply is limited, you can sometimes find work jeans at the Dollar General, also a nationwide chain, starting at $10 per pair.

Big Lots

Big Lots, another nationwide chain of discount stores, sells a small selection of Wranglers for as low as $8 or $10 a pair.

WalMart

WalMart is always a great one stop shop for men's work apparel including blue jeans starting at around $12 per pair and work boots starting around $30 or $40 on sale.
