The internet is full of many types of fad diets and diets. It is up to you to choose the appropriate style of dieting to loose the amount of weight you want. One of the diets that you can find is called the Sugar Busters Diet; a diet created by Leighton Steward and a cardiologist. This diet believes that the answer for overweight people is that sugar, not fat, is what causes us to add pounds.
The idea of this diet is that you will cut out all sugars from what you eat. It is not simply the candy bars and cakes that you cut out, but all types of sugars including potatoes, bear, pasta and others. They tell you to stay away from processed food as well.
While you avoid starches and sugars, you will learn to eat differently. You will want to eat lean beef and chicken. You will learn to eat lettuce and squash. Another item that you will eat is low-fat dairy products. A lot of the different fruits and veggies are allowed as well.
Sugar Busters Diet has you say good-bye to white bread, corn, pizza, snack foods, and sugar, but that doesn't mean that you can't get a treat now and then. The main thing that you have to look for in a treat is sugar-free. There are many sugar-free treats that are being sold everyday. You can also turn to NutraSweet items as well.
Rules are always something that people have a hard time following. This diet has a few rules, but they can easily be followed. One of the rules they have is that you drink fruit juice before your mean. This seems pretty simple to me. You can not skip a mean because it will actually affect the blood sugar level, so that is a very strict rule. They do ask that you eat snacks but the snacks have to follow a specific guideline.
Portion control is the main idea that Sugar Busters preaches. It is important that you have a balanced portion on your plate so you don't feel like you need to go back for seconds. A lot of people tend to eat way too much sugar every day as it is, so another plus with portion control in the Sugar Busters Diet is that you are pretty much guaranteed to loose weight.
While a lot of dieters are focused on the amount of weight they loose, it is always important to remember that losing small amounts of weight makes it easier for you to maintain weight. This diet is not for the type of person that thinks they can loose 40 pounds in 10 days. This is a life changing diet that will allow you to slowly and efficiently loose weight. Sugar Busters gives you the guidelines to long-term weight loss and becoming a healthier individual. If you start this diet, be sure that you are going to be in it for the long haul so that you can see the results begin to happen on a slow and steady pace, so choose wisely.
