Working from Home: Getting Tired of that Daily Commute?
Anything to Stay Off the Road in the Morning!
Some days, I think I could write a 5000 word essay, just on what I saw on the way to work! Forget about the ride home! If your'e a comedian, and need some new material, just take a cruise around town in the morning between 7am and 9am of any big city and you'll have your next 10 gigs worth of material handed to you! Trust me when I tell you, people using cell phones while driving to work (probably calling their boss to tell him/her their running late) is just the beginning. Why is it, that so many people appear to be highly intoxicated when driving and talking on the phone at the same time? No one seems to have a problem driving and talking to another person riding in the car with them! Turns out people have now figured out how to get dressed in their cars while driving 75 mph down the street.
Might not be so bad if they were on the interstate, but wer'e talking about a city street with a 45 mph speed limit. Then you have certain female drivers who seem to think while stopped at a red light, they are standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom putting on makeup. Maybe they should design cars where the entire windshield turns into a mirror while the vehicle is stopped! Then there are the guys who are trying to put on their tie while stopped at a light. You see them having to take off their seatbelt, because the shoulder harness gets in the way! Oh Yeah! And what's up with "the smaller I am, the bigger the truck or suv I drive people", or the "I'm over 60 years old and drive a 350hp sports car people". If all this isn't bad enough, a large portion of these people are still half asleep while all this is going on!
It's no wonder we all need to listen to am radio in the morning to hear every traffic report we can. It is hard to believe there aren't a lot more accidents every morning!
If these people could only learn to get up a bit earlier in the morning, get dressed, put on their makeup and god forbid, have 2 cups of coffee before getting in their cars (vs spilling it on their lap while driving and talking on the cell phone ), we could revert back to the days when our job was the most stressful part of the day.
No wonder more people are constantly looking for ways to work from home!
