Working on the Internet

How to Really Make Income Online

Denise
If you are familiar with my articles, then you know that I've written several articles about making money online. I've written about fun ways, and about Google. This is something I don't think that I have stressed enough. If you want to make money online, here are seven steps to take when finding something.

1.Ignore Business Opportunities
If you see anything with bright happy colors promising you that you can make $5,000 a day on autopilot, or make money without doing anything, forget all that. Go in another direction. For someone starting out online there are many sales pages describing what you would feel is the lifestyle of your dreams. Many of these opportunities could be difficult for you to do or understand. I would say forget about any business opportunity that you see right now.

2. Pick One Thing
There are so many ways of making money online, that it can make your head spin. Just pick one thing you would like to do. You want to make and sell your own software? You want to sell ring tones? You're an expert on gardening and want to write a book? Find just one thing you want to do online and do not stray from it.

3.Drop The 9 To 5
Most people, I should say all who want to make money online do so because they do not want to fight traffic. They want to spend more time with their friends and family. So whatever you choose to do, make sure that it gives you enough time to do what you really want to do each day. You can outsource if you need to, but personally-I would not want to spend extra money.

4.Find The Right Information
Let's say you want to be an author. There is a lot of free information online about that, but you want to make sure that it is quality information. Many people happily give away crap online, avoid downloading that at all costs! The best way to make sure something is quality is to stick with the industry. You can go to www.writersdigest.com, for instance to get information. Maybe there is someone out there who you recognize like Jack Canfield, the Chicken Soup For The Soul author. You can listen to whatever he says, because you know his name and his story. Don't Google "How To Write A Novel" and just choose anything that comes up in the search. Better yet, go to your local public library and look for books on how to write and how to promote on the Internet, so that way you will be on the right track.

5.Watch The Spending
I would not recommend buying anything when starting out, except if it is a course. When I say course, I mean equivalent to what you would take and pay for at any college or university. If you are a writer, there are free websites online that you can showcase what you've done-and you can even use a blog! So don't be in a hurry to get hosting, pay a web designer, and all that. Getting a domain, www.myname.com is perfectly alright.

6. Finding People Who Pay You Online
This is really tough. You have to weed out the garbage and search for the gems. I've done most of that for you. The Will Work For Cash e-book gives you fifty one websites where you can start to make money without any investment but time. I will be making other volumes as I find more great websites, so make sure you mark my page. One of the places in my e-book is Associated Content. Sign up if you're not already a member of this website. You can find all about Will Work For Cash right here: http://writegrrl.blogspot.com

7.Once You're Comfortable...
Once you are making money doing what you love to do, then there's no reason why you can't explore some business opportunities. Just make sure when you do, read # 4 and #5 over again. There's nothing wrong with having multiple income streams. Just make sure you start one at a time. Once it's making money, then go on to the next idea.
