Create a Pog
Creating a pog is a simple, straight forward process. Under the Target Pog section on the right side of the Fonty Python window, you will see a New Pog button. Click New Pog, enter a name for the pog and click OK. The pog will show up in the listing of pogs.
Add Fonts to a Pog
First, a pog must not be Installed in order to add fonts. If it is installed, select the pog from the list on the right side of the Fonty Python Window and click Uninstall Pog. Locate the font folder you wish to add fonts from on the left side of the Fonty Python window. If there are fonts available in that folder they will be displayed in the center area. Select a font by left clicking it in the center area. A red check mark will appear. At the bottom of the center area will be a button to add the font(s) selected to the chosen pog. Clicking this button will add a pointer to those fonts to the pog.
Install a Pog
To install a Pog, first select the pog from the listing on the right side of the Fonty Python window. Then click Install Pog. The pog should now be installed. Remember, open programs will need to be restarted in order to use the fonts from newly installed pogs.
View Fonts in a Pog
You can view the fonts in a given pog, whether it is installed or not. To do so, select the Pogs tab on the left side of the Fonty Python window. Click on the name of the pog you wish to view. The fonts linked under the pog will appear in the center area of the window.
Delete a Pog
You can completely remove a pog by select the pog's name in the right side of the Fonty Python window. If the pog selected is installed, you must first uninstall the pog. Click Delete Pog.
Note: Deleting a pog removes it completely. The font link will be removed. However, the font files themselves will NOT be deleted. There is no option to undelete so make sure you want to remove the pog selected.
Backup and Restore Pogs
This is the one issue I have with Fonty Python. There are no backup and restore features built into Fonty Python. However, the pog files can be backed up and restored manually. The pog files should be stored in a .fontypython folder under your home folder (i.e. /home/user). If viewing under Nautilus, you might need to make hidden files viewable (View > Show Hidden Files).
