In the last Tutorial I showed you how to do some basic things with your files in your control panel. In this tutorial I will show you how to further work with your files. In this Tutorial I will show you how to:

How to Edit your Files
Once you have created a file, you can go back and edit it if you need too. You can edit it as many times as you need to. To edit a file follow the steps below.
Step 1 - Login to your C-panel.
Step 2 - Click the File Manager link.
Step 3 - In the left hand column of your page, locate the file that you want to edit. Click the little icon next to the name of the file.
Step 4 - You will see the name of your file and some links in the top right hand corner. Click on the Edit File link.
Step 5 - A new window will pop up. In that window you can edit your file.
Step 6 - Once you are done click the Save button.
The next page will tell you that your file has been saved and it gives you a link to click incase you need to edit more. If you are finished you can simply click the x to return to the File Manager.
How to Rename your Files
Step 1 - Login to your C-panel.
Step 2 - Click the File Manager link.
Step 3 - In the left hand column of your page, locate the file that you want to rename. Click the little icon next to the name of the file.
Step 4 - You will see the name of your file and some links in the top right hand corner. Click on the Rename File link.
Step 5 - In the top right hand corner of your browser you will see a text field where you can enter a new name for your file. Enter your new name and click the Rename button.
It will now tell you that you have renamed the file. It will say the old file name and then it will have an arrow putting to the new file name.
How to Copy your Files
Sometimes you may need to place a file in another directory. You may need to have the same file in two different directories. In this case it would be easier to just copy the file and paste it in the new directory. To copy a file follow the steps below.
Step 1 - Login to your C-panel.
Step 2 - Click the File Manager link.
Step 3 - In the left hand column of your page, locate the file that you want to copy. Click the little icon next to the name of the file.
Step 4 - You will see the name of your file and some links in the top right hand corner. Click on the Copy File link.
Step 5 - In the left hand column of the page you will see a list of folders. Click on the name of the folder that you wish to copy the file to.
In the top right hand corner of your browser it will tell you that you have copied so and so file to its new location.
How to Move your Files
Sometimes you may need to move a file to a new location. You may have accidentally saved it in the wrong directory or maybe you're rearranging your site. What ever the case you can move your files fairly easy. You move your files almost the same way that you copy them.
Step 1 - Login to your C-panel.
Step 2 - Click the File Manager link.
Step 3 - In the left hand column of your page, locate the file that you want to move. Click the little icon next to the name of the file.
Step 4 - You will see the name of your file and some links in the top right hand corner. Click on the Move File link.
Step 5 - In the left hand column of the page you will see a list of folders. Click on the name of the folder that you wish to move the file to.
Now you have successfully moved that file. In the top right hand corner it will tell you that the file was moved.
