There is a process known as lipolysis and as soon as you start moving and flexing your muscles fat cells are released and start to shrink. Testosterone is released into the body as well which results in burning fat for hours even after your workout is done.
Creating more muscle is important not only for your health but because it reduces the amount of fat in your body and replaces it with fiber. Using resistance exercises will stimulate muscle growth in the body and help burn that nasty fat. Working out with weights four times a week is advisable to increase your metabolic rate and ultimately give you the lean sexy body you want.
The Large Muscle Groups
The large muscle groups are something you should be focusing on. Why? The areas such as the chest, back, butt, and legs act as a catalyst for burning calories and ultimately increasing your metabolism. The faster your metabolic rate is the less fat packs on your body.
When you exercise vigorously there will be little explosions going on in your body of muscle contractions. These contractions generate over one hundred times your normal body temperature in each muscle. This ups your metabolism as much as 2,000 percent over its normal rate. The body starts to use all the calories in fat as fuel to keep you going.
Keep Increasing Your Intensity
If you do the same amount of repetitions over and over again eventually they get easier and less effective. Concentrate on what you're doing and your should feel at least some burn by the last 3 to 4 reps and you are struggling a little. This is a good way to know you are getting the results and on the right track. Be sure to pay attention to what you are doing so you know when to increase and when you are pushing too hard. Overdoing it can lead to injuries which will set you back.
Try exercising more than once a day
To really increase your metabolic rate, try working out twice on some days. Do a cardiovascular exercise in the morning and a weight training session in the afternoon. Twice as many calories will be burned doing this then just one or the other type of exercise alone. Plus your reving up your metabolism twice in one day and really keeping it up there. Try to switch things up a bit too so your body doesn't become accustomed to one or the other exercise. This way your hard work will pay off more instead of reaching a plateau.
Also try increasing the intensity of your workouts for 3-5 minutes then decreasing the intensity for the same amount of times. Keep repeating this process which creates short explosive sessions that fire up your metabolism. By following these simple guidelines you'll be well on your way to a leaner and sexier you the way you want to be, no tricks, no gimmicks, just real results done the right way.
