You can now donate funds to the Bottomless Closet through payroll deductions. When our employer told us about a new payroll deduction program that he was considering implementing, myself and my co-workers did not anticipate that we would be donating to a charity.

The said charity was the Bottomless Closet, located at 445 North Wells Street, Suite 301 in Chicago's River North neighborhood. The Bottomless Closet is an organization that assists women who are trying to achieve economic self sufficiency by offering them professional looking and classy business attire to wear on job interviews. The Workplace Giving Program would allow us to have whatever amount of money we specified deducted from our paychecks that would go directly to Bottomless Closet.

The reason my boss was so interested in this organization was because when his sister needed a nice outfit to wear for an employment interview, and had no money to buy one, Bottomless Closet gave her a beautiful business suit to wear. Since she didn't want her family to know about her situation, she remained quiet about it.

In addition to giving her a business suit, the Bottomless Closet community also helped guide her and give her tips on the interview process. She is now the General Manager for the company that she interviewed with. If you want to learn more about how you or your company can participate in the Workplace Giving Program through payroll deductions, call Bottomless Closet at 312-527-9664 or visit their website.
