Workplace: No Cribbing, Just Find a Solution

Is this what you are going through in your day to day life? That no matter what you do, how much you struggle, you are still not getting the kind of appreciation and reward which is apt for the work you have done. But, your colleague or friend who does almost the same job gets rewards and appreciation at work. Then, its time that you stop cribbing and complaining about this. Think as to why, you are not able to get the kind of recognition you are looking for.

If you sit in one place just complaining and telling that you did not receive any bonus or promotion or any other incentive for that matter, instead of thinking why you did not get it, and how to get it, don't mistake me, you will be doing that for the rest of your life.

If you don't want to do that, and then wake up, every organization looks for employees who can do extraordinary work for them. Something more than what you actually do or what you are paid for. They would like their employees to take some imitative and take an extra mile to satisfy their customers.

If you are really creative, then even though you do not belong to the planning or marketing department of your company, come out with some new strategies and ideas that can be implemented to increase the sales of your company. And if that idea really works then nothing like it.

Another thing what you can do, which, everybody in your office does not do, is complete your work well within the deadline. You will get more recognition when you complete your work much before the deadline rather than completing it on time.

If situation demands, then don't hesitate to work extra hours and get back late. Though you may not get any monetary benefits for your extra work. But I am sure you will get recognition.

There is so much competition that these days companies are looking for people who can work smart rather than those who work hard. So if you do the same thing what everybody does, then you cannot move up the ladder. You need to keep yourself open to new ideas and do something different and productive.

So at least from now onwards, stop cribbing, find a solution to your problem and work towards achieving it. Then rewards and recognitions will automatically come your way not only once, but many times.
