Is there really such a thing as predestination or election?
It seems to me that there would have to be something that determines where we are born and to what path we will take as we grow up.
Free will is mine, and I am freely able to use it.
What a precious gift this is. I can't say why I am so fortunate.
To be born into a society where I need not struggle to survive.
I have had the privilege, to see how those less fortunate have had to work harder than I could possibly imagine, and still have only minor necessities to live on.
These are times when I wonder why life is like this?
Why the peoples of the world can't have the same equality of life?
I may not understand the reasoning to the decisions of the world.
Or why we are not doing more for those who could benefit from a richer society.
I wonder if this is how it will always be? Is there hope for third world countries?
Is there hope for the poor and underprivileged?
Can we unite to bring about a better world?
Put our own needs and prejudices aside in order for this to happen?
In my own thinking I realize that there is more to this.
It goes back to the beginning of mankind. To decisions our ancient ancestors made.
If they were able to see the devastating effects on the peoples of today, could they have tried harder to live in harmony and co-habitation?
Perhaps this would make for no change at all.
As it is we live set by the hand of something far greater and unknown, that scientists have been trying to figure out for decades.
Something that gave us a free will to make our own choices, in the hope that we would peacefully co-exist.
If we all believe in a better tomorrow, than surely years from now, we may finally see this dream fulfilled. Where we each have equal rights and our world that is united by Peace.
