Is Denmark a part of the Netherlands? Or vice versa? What about Amsterdam?

Some people confuse the Netherlands with Denmark and vice versa, or think that one is associated with the other. The Netherlands is a country, officially a Kingdom, located in Western Europe that is often called Holland. The capital of The Netherlands is Amsterdam and the official language is Dutch. While located nearby geographically, Denmark is a separate country in Europe, whose capital is Copenhagen. It is also a Kingdom and the country's residents speak Danish.

Why caused the tensions between Palestinians and Israel?

We hear about the ongoing struggle in the Middle East between Palestine and Israel, but many of us don't why or how this warring started or why Palestinians war with Israel and vice versa. In short, many Jews believed that their homeland or promised land was in an area of Palestine. So a great number of European Jews migrated to this area and in 1948 they declared themselves an independent country named Israel. They barred many native Palestinians from jobs and chased them from their long time homes. Many compare this to how American settlers came to America and took the land from Native Americans. Thus, the hatred between Palestinians and Jews in Israel began and continues to this day.

Did humanity really originate in Africa?

According to a recent study of skulls, scientists have in fact determined that all of humanity originated from a single point in Sub-Saharan Africa. The scientists analyzed thousands of skulls from all over the world and saw that the variations in each skull decreased the further they were from this specific area in Africa. The majority of the variations in skull size and shape existed in Sub-Saharan Africa; the variations decreased the further the skulls were found from this one location, yet they were still very similar to that of the skulls found in Sub-Saharan Africa. So basically that means that each skull variation in the world had its roots in this specific area of Africa.
