World Premiere of the Movie 'Prodigal'; Mann Theatres in Champlin, MN (3/22/11)

A small town pastor has more than his share of problems in the movie, "Prodigal," as does his son, Levi Layton. Those problems won't remain secluded much longer - the whole world is about to learn how everything plays out for the two of them, the pastor's flock, and Levi's friends and new acquaintances when "Prodigal" hits the big screen on Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

The premiere showings of the movie "Prodigal" at the Mann Theatres in Champlin, Minn. will be at 5:00, 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. The 7:00 p.m. showing is sold out, but tickets ($10.00, on a first come, first served basis) remain at this time for the 5:00 and 9:00 p.m. showings. Champlin is right in the heart of the location where "Prodigal" was filmed - as might be expected, excitement is running high there as everyone who has followed the making of this film has been anxiously waiting to see the completed production.

The producers of "Prodigal" have put out this teaser:

"Levi Layton is eighteen years old and tired of his life, and the expectations of being a preacher's son. Despite being very close with his father when he was a kid, Levi and his father, Steve, have grown distant, and Levi finds himself wanting more for his life than their small town can offer. As he dreams of a way out, Levi receives a large inheritance and he, his girlfriend, Abigail, and his friend, Tyler, discover their chance to get away from it all. Eighteen years old and armed with $100,000, a life of fast cars, raging parties, and new friends is just a midnight escape away."

Lead roles in the film are played by Joseph Castanon (Click, ER, NCIS), Dylan Borger, Jeff Litfin, Cynthia Uhrich (Star Trek: Enterprise, Passions), Bill Cooper, and Alix Kermes (Gilmore Girls, Kevin Hill).

"Prodigal" is a Mark Harper / Matt Leonetti Production by Lost Coin Productions. Music is by Dominic Messenger; Production Design, Lisa Borger; Editor, Ryan Grams, and the Director of Photography, Ryan Grams, The story is by Aaron Huggett and Mark Harper; "Prodigal" was written and directed by Aaron Huggett.

"Prodigal" has not yet been rated. Wide domestic release of the film is expected in late 2011.
