World of Warcaft: Fury Warrior PvP / Warrior Builds

In World of Warcaft, Fury Warriors Now Come with 100% More...Furiousness

Thomas Kearo
When you're attempting to PvP a Fury Warrior in World of Warcraft (WoW), you'll almost certainly come across people who tell you how to play your class and that you should be an Arms Warrior for pvp. When I get people like this during my play time in WoW, I challenge them to a duel and show them just how powerful Fury can be for PvP. The only thing is, you MUST do it right. You can't just go choosing talents blindfolded with and expect to be good at Fury Warrior PvP. It's just not going to happen. No worried though! In this guide, I'll show you how to PvP a Fury Warrior while going over the cookie cutter spec that will allow you to dominate in World of Warcraft PvP.

First and foremost, before you spec Fury and go try and test it in PvP, I have to tell you the in World of Warcraft, Warriors are the most gear dependant class in the game. This means that if you don't have stellar gear, you're not going to win no matter what. Sure, you might get lucky a few times and win some battles against a wounded enemy or get the jump on somebody, but the fact remains: If you're going to win battles consistently with a Fury Warrior in WoW PvP, you're going to need some good gear. Go raid, or at least get some stuff crafted before you delve into this tree. If you've already done that, great! Let's get started!

Let's go over the spec talent by talent, that way nobody is confuses and we know absolutely every advantaged to each of these talents!

Fury Tree:

Tier 1:

Cruelty is your bread and butter here. It gives you a 5% better chance to critically strike when you've maxed it out. Since warriors are so defendant of their critical strikes, this is going to really help you. Tier 1 is pretty simple. Max out Cruelty.

Tier 2:

Unbridled Wrath generates more rage for you when you're dealing damage with a melee weapon. Unlike those Arms warriors, you're going to be striking a lot because you're be dual wielding. This kind of rage generation adds up and it's going to allow you to do an incredible amount of burst damage. Trust me, once you take this you'll start to wonder how you ever played without it.

Tier 3:

Piercing Howl is an AoE that slows all the targets around you down and dazes them. Fury Warrior are a melee class. If you can't get into close quarters with your opponent, you're going to lost the battle. This comes in handy, especially when fighting casters and Hunters. Improved Cleave is going to be another really handy talent for you. It's no secret that Cleave is one of the Fury Warriors best AoE attacks. Buff it up and you just might have the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone! Double the pleasure, double the fun. Put the other remaining point into whatever you want at this time. It doesn't really matter. You've got a little freedom here.

Tier 4:

Dual Wield Specialization is a must. You're going to want to do as much damage as possible, and this makes your offhand do significantly more damage. Good stuff. Enrage should be your second choice here as well. Though you can't proc it yourself, your opponents, by damaging you will.

Tier 5:

Death Wish is going to make you an unstoppable force for a little while. Arms warriors don't have this, and this is one of those talents that sets you apart from them. Take it and love it. Improved Intercept is going to work wonders for you too. Like I said earlier, you're a melee class and in order to do your damage, you're going to have to keep them close to you. Intercept is going to take care of runners and pesty casters that you just can't seem to stay in close quarters with.

Tier 6:

Improved Berserker Rage gives you more rage. More rage = more damage. Put two points in this!

Tier 7:

Max out all of the talents in this tree. They're all awesome. Bloodthirst will replace Heroic Strike as your main attack. Spam this as much as possible. If you're not using Whirlwind, you should be. It's your other instant attack that deals a lot of damage. By taking Improved Whirlwind, you're going to make it all that more efficient. Intensify Rage takes all of your rage building cool downs and decreases them by 33%. Very nice!

Tier 8:

Furious attacks is going to reduce your target's healing ability. Not only is this useful in one of one against priests, shaman, druid etc, but in group PvP you're going to get a lot of other players healing your targets. This prevents that. Go back up a little bit and place your other 3 talents for the Tier in Flurry. Max it out if you want to. It makes you attack speed faster. We all know what that means! More damage!

Tier 9:

Heroic Fury is very very nice in this tree. It only takes one point and basically frees you for any immobilizing effects! This is just another wrench in your toolbox for getting in close quarters with those pesky runners! Rampage is invaluable, as it makes you an unstoppable killing machine. haha! Bloodsurge gives you the chance of an instant Slam after your Bloodthirst or Heroic Strike, thus adding to your Fury Warrior burst damage.

Tier 10: Unending Fury makes your Bloodthirst, Slam and Whirlwing deal 10% more damage! Cha ching! Max this out!

Tier 11:

Titan's Grip allows you to dual wield two handed weapons. This is the pinnacle of all of the Warrior talents. If anybody tells you that this isn't a good talent, you have my permission to slap them in the face. This is one of the best, if not the best talent out of all the classes and trees in World of Warcraft. Take it, use it, love it!
