World of Warcaft: PvP Tips!

Here Are a Few General Tips to Help You in World of Warcraft PvP!

Thomas Kearo
When you first launch into a World of Warcraft PvP battlegrounds game, you're going to feel a little bit overwhelmed. Not just with the action and fighting, but the lingo and all of the unspoken courtesies of playing versus your fellow opponent. While it's true that anything goes in love and war, in World of Warcraft there are a few things that you shouldn't do to your fellow player, so both of you can have a wonderful PvP experience. There are also a few things that will allow you to get an edge on your opponent! Let's take a look at a few of them today!

Knowing when to attack is key when engaging in an encounter in World of Warcraft. Before you attack, you should know that sometimes it's better to wait that to run in right away. You must be like a cat, stalking it's prey throughout World of Warcraft. After you've been in a few battlegrounds and fought your way to the top, you'll start to be able to identify the gear that people are wearing and their skill level. You'll want to jump on the "low hanging fruit" of the bunch. Remember that in every encounter, you're going to want to make sure that you come out the victor. Having some foresight into their gear and skill is essential for making this assessment. Also, if you see a player already engaged in a battle, this is where you strike. Since they're already preoccupied with the other opponent, this is an easy honor kill for you. After all, it's all about teamwork in World of Warcraft.

Corpse Camping is one of those unspoken rules I was talking about earlier. This is when you kill a player, then wait for them to come back and respawn at that same spot. When they click respawn you kill them again. Players do this because the formerly deceased player only comes back with half the amount of health they'd normally have so they're an easy kill. This is looked upon a bad practice though, as it robs the fun out of the game for the other player. When participating in PvP, it's important to recognize that the main goal of the game is fun, and players should strive to provide a great experience for players all around. If you do this too much, you might not have anybody to fight next time. That results in 0 honor kills. Remember, everything you do has consequences in the confines of World of Warcraft.

Gaking is also looked upon unfavorably. Ganking is the process of purposely seeking out players of a much lower level than you and killing them. Since they have no chance of fighting back, you're going to win. Blizzard has recently rendered these players useless to higher level character since their give no honor for their death. This still, doesn't prevent some people from ganking though. Be aware, that just like before, Ganking ruins the experience of the other player withing the game. Some players will even cast you out of their circle of friends or guild for Ganking lower level players. Be sure that whoever you go after is going to provide you with a solid fight. After all, where is the fun in easily winning every time?
