World of Warcraft Addons: Omen

World of Warcraft Mods and Addons are becoming ever more popular, and for good reason. For whatever objective or achievement you're trying to accomplish in World of Warcraft...there's a mod for it. As a matter of fact, there are often times hundreds of mods for any given scenario in World of Warcraft. One of the most common uses for a mod is raiding. If you'd like to spend hours sifting through all of them in an valiant effort to find the best ones... here they are. (Or I could just tell you : )

World of Warcraft Omen Addon

Omen allows you to monitor your threat in World of Warcraft. If you're a caster, this is useful for not getting crushed into jelly (no, your robe won't protect you). If you're a tank, this is useful for preventing the "jelly-fication" of your friends. This is the bread and butter of all World of Warcraft raiding addons, but as any cheesy infomercial spokesman would say: "Don't just take my word for it!". Here are the benefits of using World of Warcraft Omen for raiding applications:

- 100% customizable display and lightweight warning system. The last thing you want is an addon that takes up every pixel of your screen. Believe me, there are some out there...and they ain't pretty princess.

- Class filtering. You can select the classes (or players) whose threat doesn't need to be monitored, allowing you to focus on the necessary.- Automation of aggro cancelling or pulling. This feature let's the tank know when to generate aggro and the casters and dps know when to drop it.

- Omen is constantly updated. Don't you hate it when you download a mod, only to have the next World of Warcraft patch come out and break it? Omen is one of the most updated addons out there simple because so many people use it.

- Omen isn't illegal! Ok, so most addons aren't illegal, but there are a few. Omen won't get you banned.

Basically, before there was Omen, there was no way to get a visual display of your aggro and WoW was a wipefest. If you haven't tried it out yet, I'd highly recommend it.
