The story I think is a great twist. In the second expansion, a portal that once lied dormant, opened and made a new area available but also released great evil. In the third expansion to the game, a new continent on the original world was discovered which brought forth great evil. This new story is making the original planet and all of its lands change by what looks like cataclysmic lava spills and earth quakes which releases a new evil. It doesn't seem like blizzard will give up when it comes to making a new idea, it's never the same thing twice.
The big things being discussed with this new WoW title are the two new playable races. Long have players interacted with goblins in set towns, but now players will actually be able to play as goblins which have taken up there old allies of the horde. The other new race is the worgen. Up to this point, the worgen have been blood thirsty beasts which didn't seem to have a society, they were just mindless beasts that one would have to kill. However, the playable worgen in the new game are not the bloodthirsty beasts of old, they actually the humans from the once civilized city of Gilnayis. One thing not being discussed is why the humans at this city changed, but I'm not one to complain, I love the idea.
-Another big point with this new expansion is that the level cap has been raised from 80 to 85.
-There is also a new skill that players can partake in, Archeology. Deadmines and
-Shadowfang keep, both low level instances have the option now of being done on heroic settings.
-New battle grounds are being made that offer a new "rated team play" system.
-Flying mounts usable in Azeroth.
-Guilds, now like individual players, can participate in accomplishing achievements and leveling. There is a new character progression: Path of the Titans.
-New class-race combination, this means races that once might not be able to play a certain class may now be eligible to.
-Finally, Deathwing, a giant flame demon/dragon has now become the new top dog as far as the end game boss'.
Over all, I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this game; it will change the World of Warcraft experience forever!
