World of Warcraft Cataclysm - Companion Pets - Dragon Kite

This article will cover the Dragon Kite companion vanity pet available to players within World of Warcraft Cataclysm. This guide will cover various details about the pet as well as how both Horde and Alliance players should go about trying to attain the creature. All companion pets, like the Dragon Kite are capable of being summoned through the spell book then opening the companion tab. You can also find pictures of this creature in the upper right corner which you can click on to make larger.

The Dragon Kite vanity pet is a companion obtained through finding one of the rare loot cards distributed in packs of the World of Warcraft trading card game. Players of either Horde or Alliance can attain this pet by redeeming one of the codes which are distributed on the Kiting loot card which is part of the March of the Legion expansion set. Mathematically speaking, you have a 1 in 242 chance to open a pack containing this card, making purchasing one through eBay the potentially cheaper alternative, although still quite expensive currently selling between 100-150$ a pop. Each card can only be redeemed for a single character by talking to Landro Longshot in Booty Bay after entering the code here.

The Dragon Kite is quite the unique companion, technically not so much a pet as a summonable object much larger than even player characters, with a random color scheme each time it is brought out. The kite will float high in the air with its long tail that slowly flutters with the wind and every 10 minutes or so a lightning bolt will strike the kite and every 2 minutes or so if in an environment where it is currently raining. The Dragon Kite is certainly one of the most unique vanity pets attainable in the game and one of the most expensive loot card creatures.
