World of Warcraft Cataclysm - Companion Pets - Lil' Smoky

Lil' Smoky is a promotional companion pet which is attained by either Horde or Alliance players through crafting as an engineer. The recipe needed to teach how to craft this pet can drop from either the Peacekeeper Security Suit, Arcane Nullifier X-21 or Crowd Pummeler 9-60 in the order of most to least likely to drop (5%, 4%, 2%). All three of these mobs are elite units that spawn in the Gnomeregan instance. The recipe calls for a skill of 205 along with 1 Core of Earth, 2 Gyrochronatom, 1 Fused Wiring, 2 Mithril Bar and 1 Truesilver Bar. Engineers looking to make a profit can turn to selling the Lil' Smoky item on the auction house for a nice chunk of gold.

Lil' Smoky is the only actual companion pet to use this model, making it unique, although there are items that can summon friendly npcs that use the same model, these are not technically vanity pets and serve different functions. This pet is essentially one of the harvester robots that can be found in the game world and frequently turns its torso about and spews smoke while left standing around. Clicking on this pet will cause it to emit various noises.
