World of Warcraft Launcher Cannot Obtain Patching Information Fix

When logging into World of Warcraft on patch days it can be annoying to always get the error "Launcher Cannot Obtain Patching Information." After looking online it appears that many people are having this error and there is no step-by-step guide to fix this problem. The solutions listed below have worked for different people for the same error so feel free to try more than one before giving up.

First try reconfiguring your internet options by
Going to Control Panel and opening Internet Options
Click on Connections
Click on "LAN Settings"
Un-check all of the options on the screen

This should disable any weird ways your computer is trying to connect to the internet using different pathways that aren't you're primary connection line.

World of Warcraft is constantly downloading things onto your hard drive to make itself run faster. These folders can also become corrupted or damaged during this process and can prevent the game from running correctly. In order to access these folders:

First click on My Computer
then click on C:drive
Then Program Files
Into the World of Warcraft folder

This folder will contain the Updates, Temp, and Cache folder for your game. Deleting all of these will not affect you in game, but will fix your downloading problem if it is caused by the folders being corrupted.

The final two ways I have to fix this problem are the easiest and hardest of all of the ways. The first one simply makes you go into the World of Warcraft folder from the above steps and double click the "Repair" button. This has personally never worked for me, but many players have reported this as being the quick fix. I have always had success reinstalling the game itself when I get multiple errors that prevent me from logging into the game, but this can be a process that takes hours and is not highly recommended for someone looking to fix their issue asap.
