World of Warcraft Low Level Gold Guide

How to Solve Your Low-level Money Problems

The first thing you'll need in order to get yourself a nice fund for your low-level character is an add-on by the name of Auctioneer. You can find & download this addon fairly easily by just typing "World of Warcraft Auctioneer Addon" into your search directory. The second addon you'll need is called Postal. You can find it using the same method described above. Once you have the addons installed, log in & head over to your local Auction House, and click the Auctioneer Scan button. The scan will take awhile, but it's definitely worth your time.

Now, if you happen to possess a Gathering skill, such as Skinning, Mining, or Herbalism, then great! If not, I suggest picking one up, as gathering professions are the #1 money maker in World of Warcraft, and you don't really have to do all that much in order for it to work. Take Mining for example. Just run around as you quest and mine every node you find. At the end of the day, take whatever ore you have & use auctioneer to post it on the Auction House. There's your first money-stream.

Next, look at how many other items you have that you could be selling on the auction house instead of just selling it to the local NPC vendor. NPC vendors are convenient, but you stand to make AT LEAST double the profit if you were to post it on the Auction House. Take Linen Cloth for example. One single piece of Linen Cloth sells to an NPC vendor for 13 copper. That same singular piece of linen has an average Auction House value of over 5 silver! Thats 500 copper! So, place everything you don't plan on using onto the Auction House instead of selling it to a vendor. Everything you pick up can be sold in this manner, with the exception of grey-quality items, which can only really be sold to an NPC Vendor. That's your second money-stream.

These two sources of money alone should be enough to fund your new character fairly well, however if you find that you need still more money, there are a few things that you can do. The first is to go out of your way and "farm" -- or gather large amounts of -- a lower-level resource such as copper ore, peacebloom, silverleaf, or light leather. Spend a few hours doing nothing but gathering one of those items, and depending on your server's economy, you could have a small fortune on your hands. The second option is to find an instance group, as even lower level instances such as Deadmines yield about two gold per run, in cash loots alone. That money of course is divided between the members of your party, but it's still a rather nice profit. The uncommon & rare items & recipes that you win during your run you'll be able to sell for even more money!

I hope this guide has helped you on your way to a tidy profit. Happy hunting!
