World of Warcraft: The Proper Warrior Stance for PVP

Is Your World of Wacraft Warrior in the Proper Stance to Kill Your Opponent in PVP?

Blackthought
There are two fundamental problems warriors have when pvping.
1. Closing the distance
2. Healers

If you can effectively remove these two problems your chances at killing someone with your warrior go up tremendously. If you're a protection spec warrior you have no business trying to fight anyone, go tank an instance or something...Below are a few good tips and some advice on what stance you should be in for fury and arms specs that should help you in battle grounds or when dueling. I'll break things down by class and list why you want to be in battle stance vs. berserker and why it is important to know when to switch.

Preface:
Warriors are unique in that we have three stances and there are some stances that serve better depending on what you're fighting. Below is a general breakdown of what stance you'll want to be in when fighting each class when refereeing to "main stance" I mean the stance you find most effective based on your spec it's usually battle stance for ARMS spec and berserker for fury spec:

Class - Stance(s) - Reason
Rogue - Battle Stance - Overpower FTW

Hunter - Berserker - Intercept, because chasing a hunter is quite possibly the worst thing ever.

Mage - Berserker - Intercept, massive DPS to blow through the pajama armor

Warlock - Berserker - Intercept, massive DPS to blow through the pajama armor.

Shaman - Defensive, then back to main stance, Berserker - Disarm to lessen DPS, intercept for wolf form.

Druid - Main stance, Berserker - Beserker for intercept when they run away as a wolf.

Paladin - Defensive, then back to main stance - Defense for disarm, a pally without his main hammer...just isn't a pally at all.

Priest - Mainst ance, Berserker - Beserker for intercept.

Warrior - Essentially this comes down to who can play better and has better gear.

Please not that intercept is your best friend when trying to close the distance between you and your opponent.

This small table should help you when trying to determine how best to approach killing an opponent.

Happy Hunting!

"If you're a protection spec warrior you have no business trying to fight anyone, go tank an instance or something..."

lol Prot owns all plain and simple. Warbringer ftw.

Fury (paper plate spec) takes so much damage I've never died so much in my life you'd think you were a Mage. Fury should go dps an instance or something they have no business trying to fight anyone.

As Prot melee dps has just about no chance against you. Your only weakness is dots. Direct melee and spell damage is easily mitigated.

With some Arms talents (Impale and Deep Wounds) you have decent dps from crits and amazing dps when being attacked due to Revenge and just building rage.

It's amazing to read this as a protection warrior that pwns in pvp and at that with pve gear. simply amazing....I guess there is always the exception....I guess....
