World of Warcraft Quest Guide: "The Path of Glory"

Benjamin Sell

Warp Scryer Kryv is concerned for the souls of his fallen comrades who had their remains used in the construction of the Burning Legion's foul highway, "The Path of Glory." This road, leading from the Dark Portal to Hellfire Citadel, is now the resting place for these restless souls.

Kryv has a plan to help them out, though. He asks you to use the holy water he gives you to cleanse their skeletons and hopefully allow them to move on to a better place.

Of course, one does not simply walk into Hellfire Citadel. You'll have to deal with a few bad guys along the way if you want to complete this task.

"The Path of Glory"

You'll find Warp Scryer Kryv in the war room on the top floor of Honor Hold keep. He sits at one end of the table, forever conspiring with Danath Trollbane to preserve the Alliance forces in Hellfire Peninsula.

Speak to him and he'll give you the quest and a vial of Draenei Holy Water to use upon the trampled skeletons of his former allies. Grab the quest and head back outside to get started.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

The Path of Glory is not difficult to find. It's the massive grey brick road that runs East to West, dividing Hellfire Peninsula right down the middle. You can ride around to the East end on your ground mount or simply fly down if you've picked up your flying mount.

Cleanse Some Skeletons

The skeletons are easy enough to spot, owing to their glowing nature. Simply get close enough to them that the gear icon appears, and then right-click to use the holy water to purify them.

Unfortunately, these skeletons are not the only residents of The Path of Glory. Shattered hand orcs patrol the area, and they are probably a level or two higher than you. You'll also have to keep an eye out for the Fel Reaver crossing the road if you're on the Eastern end of the path.

Your Draenei Holy Water has a 10- second cooldown, so be prepared for some momentary frustration if you are moving quickly from skeleton to skeleton.

Tips and Tricks

The Orc presence is much reduced on the Eastern end of the road, toward the Dark Portal, so I suggest you start looking for skeletons there. If you're quick, you may be able to complete this quest without fighting a single enemy, just watch out for the Fel Reaver sneaking up on you.

Return to the Warp Scryer

Once you've cleansed the half-buried bones of eight unfortunate Alliance soldiers, you're ready to head back to Honor Hold and turn in the quest. Warp Scryer Kryv is pleased to hear of your success, and you'll earn a little over 10,000 experience points for your trouble.
