World of Warcraft Stat Combination Guide

Possible Stat Combinations & the Classes that They Benefit

Phantom552
Items that you loot in World of Warcraft will typically come with a suffix attached to their name. For example, a Shield would change to a Shield of the Bear. Each of these suffixes, typically named after animals, has its own combination of stat bonuses that are added to the item with it. Here I will list each of the possible suffixes, the stats they give, and the classes that benefit the most from that particular combination.

Basic Stats:

of Strength

Gives a bonus to strength only. A great choice for lower-level melee weapons, especially for Warriors & Rogues as Strength transfers directly to Melee Attack Power

of Stamina
Gives a bonus to stamina only. A great choice for leveling characters, since Stamina transfers directly into Health Points for all classes.

of Agility
Gives a bonus to agility only. A great choice for lower level Hunters & Rogues, as agility adds to both classes' Attack Power value.

of Intellect
Gives a bonus to Intellect only. A great choice for lower-level Magic-using characters, as Intellect transfers directly into Mana Points, and Spell Critical Hit chances.

of Spirit
Gives a bonus to Spirit only. Spirit translates directly into health point and mana point regeneration, but I would suggest staying away from this stat unless you're either playing a Priest, or really want a little more mana regeneration for your spell caster.

Animalistic Suffixes:

of the Bear
Gives a bonus to Strength and Stamina, which translates into Health Points & Melee Attack Power. A great choice for Warriors, Feral Druids, and Paladins.

of the Boar
Gives a bonus to Strength and Spirit, which translates into Melee Attack Power, Health Regeneration, and Mana Regeneration. Moderately useful for those playing the Paladin class.

of the Eagle
Gives a bonus to Stamina and Spirit, which translates into Health Points, Health Regeneration, and Mana Regeneration. Useful for those playing the Warlock class.

of the Falcon
Gives a bonus to Agility and Intellect, which translates into Ranged Attack Power, Critical Hit Chance, and Mana Points. A great choice for those playing the Hunter class.

of the Gorilla
Gives a bonus to Strength and Intellect, which translates into Melee Attack Power, Mana Points, and Spell Critical Chance. A great choice for those playing the Paladin class.

of the Monkey
Gives a bonus to Agility and Stamina, which translates into Melee Critical Strike Chance, Ranged Attack Power, and Health Points. A Great Choice for Rogues and Hunters.

of the Owl
Gives a bonus to Intellect and Spirit, which translates into Melee Critical Strike Chance, Ranged Attack Power, and Health Points. A Great Choice for those playing the Priest class.

of the Tiger
Gives a bonus to Strength and Agility, which translates into Melee Critical Strike Chance, Ranged Attack Power, and Melee Attack Power. A Great Choice for Warriors and Rogues.

of the Whale
Gives a bonus to Stamina and Spirit, which translates into Health Points, Health Regeneration, and Mana Regeneration. A Great Choice for those playing the Warlock class.

of the Wolf
Gives a bonus to Agility and Spirit, which translates into Melee Critical Strike Chance, Ranged Attack Power, Health Regeneration, and Mana Regeneration. I would stay away from this combination entirely, however, a Hunter may find it useful.
