We as human beings have always looked at art in different ways: some see beauty while others see an undeveloped form of some sort. But one thing has always been certain, the art and beauty put into every exotic super car is indisputably beautiful in every way. Living in a day and age where art and technology blend together and become the driving forces to push for industrial domination, we as onlookers are subject to the result. These top ten masterpieces are the prime example of speed and art blended together in the truest form. But just like any modern day masterpiece, the beauty that we all admire comes with a hefty price. So starting with #10 and going to #1, here are the world's most expensive super cars.

10. Porsche Carrera GT.

Founded in 1931 the Porsche family has been producing high quality vehicles that don't only rank high for creativity, comfort, and luxury but also because of their sports car side for quality, speed, performance and above all value. The Porsche Carrera meaning "race" in Latin is one of those to hold all of the qualities above with an impressive 5.7-liter DOHC V10 engine. The Carrera can go 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. holding true to Porsche's well-known race- car mentality that holds their reputation. With a small amount of only 1,270 units produced today. Finishing the last lap the Porsche Carerra GT. Has a price tag of a cool $440,000.

09. Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren

Established in 1881 in Germany, Mercedes has progressively grown into an ever-expanding sports car marketer. Creating more and more super cars and partnerships with other companies, they and joint car designer/creator Gordon Murray of McLaren Automotive, joined together on a joint project and created the Mercedes Benz SLR (sport, light, racing) McLaren in 2003;

And to show their progression in the automotive world it certainly is a good example of it. With a 5.4 Liter Supercharged V8 (M115/ML55) it can go from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 206 mph+. Because of it's specific features it has been considered and classified a GT super car and very super it is indeed, with a staring price of $495,000.

08. Koenigsegg CCX/CCXR

A high-performance sports car manufacturer of Sweden, Koenigsegg was established in 1994. Working with Sven-Harry Akesson they designed and built the Koenisegg CCX in 2006, CCX meaning 'Competition Coupe 10' with it's more enhanced version the 'CCXR, with its meaning being more " Environmentally Friendly "than the CCX to put it simply, and when the CCXR is run on E85 Biofuel rather than standard gasoline it can do 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds. The CCX was first released in 2006 celebrating Koenigseggs 10th anniversary. With a 90degree V8 engine and 806 horsepower, the Koenigsegg CCX top speed is 245mph+ and hits 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, making the CCX/ CCXR the 4th fastest car in the world. This being said you should expect that the CCX / CCXR will fly right passed you with a starting price of $545,568.

07. Saleen S7 Twin Turbo

The recently defunct company; Saleen was predominantly a (OME) status car manufacturer. Basically known for modifying preexisting cars for a span of 26 years from 1983 until 2009. However, they did release the Saleen S7TT as their own from 2005-2006. Designed by Steve Saleen and Phil Frank with a cylinder V8 engine, that produces 750 horsepower (760 PS/599 kW) with a top speed of 248 mph+ and going from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds; this American beauty is nothing short of what it deserves with a starting sticker price of $555,000.

06. SSC Ultimate AeroTT

Carroll Shelby is the man behind it all. Creating Shelby Super Cars (SSC) and the produced the gorgeous SSC Aero Designed by Mathew Wager, this all American is running with a power-packing Twin Turbo using a supercharged Corvette ZR1 engine with G-64 6 speed manual transmission, kicking out 1183 horsepower. Ripping up an impressive 0-6-mph in 2.7 seconds with that kind of power you can speed ΒΌ a mile in 9.9 seconds. On March 2007 Guinness World Records confirmed the SSC Ultimate AeroTT as being the worlds fastest car, topping out at a mind blowing

257 mph. With only 25 to be produced, this bad boy super car has a starting price of $654,400.

05. Pagani Zonda

Produced in Italy and designed by Formula One champion, Juan Manuel Fangio. The car was to be named after him, the "Fangio F1", but after his death in 1995 the name was changed and named after an air current above Argentina. It has a Mercedes Benz M180 V12 engine with (408 PS/300 kW) and 650 horsepower. The Zonda can go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 215 mph. Produced for only 3 years from 1999-2002 Pagani released only 15 units making the hot price for this baby defiantly worth it. $667,321.

04. Ferrari Enzo

A man by the name of Enzo Ferrari established his independent racecar company in 1947 Only to become one of the top greatest super car manufacturers in the world. Since his death in 1988, Ferrari has achieved great success to date and to celebrate the achievements made, the latest and Most expensive/fastest model yet is the Ferrari Enzo and it was named after the father of ferrari. The Enzo can also be called by its original name the F-60, Designed by Pininfarina this Italian Stallion has a 6 liter F140 Aluminum V12 engine with 660 horsepower, it can go 0-60 in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph. making it one of the most powerful naturally aspirated production cars ever made. Considering that Ferrari only ever produced 400 of these amazing cars between 2002-2004 it makes them that much more worth their starting price of $670,000.

03. McLaren F1

The McLaren F1 is a very rare car produced between years 1992-1998 with a total of 106. The McLaren F1 was designed by Gordon Murry and Peter Stevens ( the same creator of the Mercedes SLR,) with a 60degree 6.1 liter V12 engine the McLaren F1 can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 240 mph.

Considering the rarity of the vehicl and it's age span, it's much more likely to have an even more expensive price tag today. But never the less the McLaren F1 still holds a whopping starting price of $970,000.

02. Lamborghini Revention

Since lamborghini began in 1964, it has produced some of the world's most expensive racecars that the world has ever seen. Their most recent and expensive product the Lamborghini Revention was designed by a group of designers in Sant'Agata Bolognese, which is the original birthplace of the Lamborghini. And released in 2008. The Reventon has a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 640 horsepower (480 kW) and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. The Lamborghini Reventon has a top speed of 210 mph and being one of the world's rarest cars (21 ever made) and holding such a sleek and also rare design it's become respectively the worlds second most expensive supercar with a mid boggling starting price of $1,600,000.

01. Bugatti Veyron

Since it began creating the worlds most exclusive cars out of France in 1909, Bugatti has never completely stopped making beautiful cars. Hartmut Warkuss and Jozef Kaban designed their Bugatti Veyron, the Lamborghini was produced between 2005-2008 and has an 8 liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine. With this being said, the Veyron has 1001 horsepower and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. It's top speed of a blazing 253 mph. makes it the worlds 2nd fastest production car. Only 200 have ever been made and it's price tag worthy of the kings' starts at $1,700,000.
