Worship Man

Poem About the Power of Praise!

Bud Young

Worship Man

Grand Central Rush
A push and a shove
Too many people
Too little patience
Praying for help from above

In walks a man
Dressed in overalls
Plaid shirt, rolled up sleeves
Looks like a husker
He leans down
Opens his guitar case
Starts looking at people
A big toothy grin on his face
He's a New York busker

He stands up
Guitar strap on his shoulder
Pulls his pick from the strings
Announcing with a loud voice
"I'm worship man,
serving God is my choice"
He was met with silence
Seems to make him bolder

He breaks into a worship song
Loud, proud and long
His song about the love of the Savior
Loving each other, loving your brother
As worship man continued to play
The atmosphere changed right away.
Less cussing, less fussing
Please and thank you, I heard people say.
Thank you worship man
For brightening our day.

Yeah, God has a way of putting people at ease, thus giving them the feeling of Joy and comradship that can come from no other source...
This is a very fine piece of work. ~ Peace ~ Nancie
