Worst Christmas Gifts for Your Wife or Girlfriend

Tfurby
Christmas is a time of giving. Whether it be monetary gifts, thoughtful gifts, gifts of the heart or simply a gift of love. There are however, some gifts that are given at Christmas time, that should not be given, especially to your wife or girlfriend. I have given a few ideas for the absolute worst Christmas gifts for your wife or girlfriend, so consider yourself forewarned, and don't make the same mistake that many have made by giving these worst Christmas gifts for your wife or girlfriend.

One of the worst Christmas gifts that you could possibly give your wife or girlfriend would be a new set of tires for her vehicle. While your wife or girlfriend might need a new set of tires for Christmas, she does not want said set of tires. Put the $250.00 or more toward something she would really enjoy like jewelry!

Household appliances would be another worst Christmas gift that you could bestow upon your wife or girlfriend. What is she, your wife or your maid? Household appliances are great, just not as a Christmas gift. For example, a vacuum cleaner might be considered as an insult to her cleaning habits. Cooking appliances might imply that you wish she would prepare more meals at home. A can opener is, well, just an overall bad idea.

While a cookbook might be enjoyed by some women as a Christmas gift, especially if she is an avid cook, for others a cookbook would be considered the worst gift that a wife or girlfriend could receive. She might think that you are suggesting that her cooking might need improvement, regardless if that might be the case, I would think twice before giving a cookbook to your wife or girlfriend for a Christmas gift.

Another worst Christmas gift to give your wife or girlfriend would be jewelry that will turn any part of her body green. If you cannot afford to buy a quality piece of jewelry, don't buy any. There is nothing more embarrassing than putting on a necklace, ring or bracelet and wearing it for a while, then finding that the jewelry has caused a chemical reaction with your bodily perspiration and left a green or black ring. EEEWWW. Be sure to buy 10k gold or above, not GOLD PLATED jewelry, if you want to impress your wife or girlfriend.

A framed photo of yourself, is perfectly acceptable for a nice Christmas gift if you are short on money. But, keep in mind a photograph of you with an ex girlfriend, with the ex girlfriends face removed, is to be considered the absolute worst Christmas gift for your wife or girlfriend, of ALL TIME...so don't even consider it!

Worst Christmas present of all time: expensive jewellery, inspired by guilt about an affair.

The comment left by "Muffy" is one of the most ignorant comments I've read on the site, but it's typical. I get I-know-more-than-anyone comments like that all the time. Women do want jewelry. Is she kidding? Guys want jewelry too, but this article happens to focus on women. I think it's very good. According to Miss Muffet... a good husband or boyfriend is suppose to know exactly what she wants. That's a bunch of crap! An "emotional connection" is a poor choice of words, but everyone is a psychologist these days. Pick, pick pick.... Don't you just love people? Geez.....

Pulls in some cultural stereotypes, like "women want jewelry." What women want most in a relationship is an emotional connection. If her partner takes the time to listen throughout the year for direct wants, and understands her as a person, that person can find the perfect gift in almost any category and price range.

YES! All men should read this article! :-) My Dad was a notorious HORRIBLE gift giver. Worst gift my Mom ever received from him........... a Black & White Checked hunting vest from the men's department. TRUE STORY!!!

I guess it all depends on who gets the gifts, I wouldn't mind getting any of these, actually, these are the gifts I get most of the time. Though I wouldn't mind getting a nice shiny article for my wrist or neck once in a while. Great work..
