Worst Christmas Presents to Get Your Wife

For all of you husband's out there, this will hopefully be a big help before you go shopping for your wife this year. As a wife, I have gotten some good presents and some bad. Most of them have been good and of course I will never admit to my husband if I don't like something. However, I thought I would give my personal experience in things I have gotten and didn't like or things that I know I would dread receiving from my husband.

1. Anything related to cleaning. If you buy your wife a mop, vacuum, or any other type of cleaning tool, she will most likely be upset. I know that by buying these things, you may think you are helping her out by making cleaning easier for her. However, I know that cleaning supplies are NOT something on my wish list.

2. Gift cards. Your wife wants the present she gets from you, her husband, to be something that came from the heart. Gift cards are so general and impersonal. They are great for other people on your shopping list, but your wife wants you to pick something out that you think she will like.

3. Tools. You may think you are being helpful by getting your wife tools so that she can fix things herself, but that's what you are for! My husband once said that he was going to get me my own tool set. I told him that if something needs fixed I'll just tell him! I don't know how to fix things so what good are tools to me?

4. Beauty supplies. This is not the worst, but she would probably appreciate more a trip to a salon or spa to get these things done for her. For example a mani/pedi or facial. It's more relaxing than doing it yourself!

5. Coat, scarf, and/or gloves. These are things that every person needs in the winter, at least in areas where it is cold. We want to pick these things out for ourselves and by Christmas, it will already be cold out and we should already have these things!

Obviously, every woman is different, but this list is just a general idea of things that most women probably would not want to receive from their husband for a Christmas gift. Any gift is better than nothing and if it comes from the heart it's perfect!
