Worst Gift I Ever Got

Bruce Bostwick
While I have not made many bad gifts, there was one in particular that stood out. It wasn't that the gift was horrible by any means; it was more due to actually having the same thing. It had to do with Mega Man 2 for the NES. While I enjoy the game, I had one copy all ready and got a 2nd one by mistake. More so it had to do with a mistake. This is a prime example of what to do when you actually own something and gets it twice. After the Holiday season, the next thing that was done was exchange it for a different game and I believe it was Ninja Gaiden, a game I didn't own. Here is what you should do to avoid doing such a thing.

Double Check

Check the games you got whether it's classic or newer games and make sure you do not have the exact game twice for the same exact system. While you can get the same game for other systems, for instance the Raw vs. Smackdown games as of late just be sure that's it different.

This isn't more or less a story of how bad the gift was, it's just funny to look back on that. Since then, I haven't had too many gifts that were bad at all; just sometimes it ends up that getting the same gift twice. Be sure not to fall into that and be sure that that you check your gifts and make your lists.

If you are parents buying your kids gifts, try to check up on what they own so you don't accidently get the same gift twice. While it isn't a huge problem, it's more of the case of not checking up and it happens. Or if you do check up, it could be that it gets bought without realizing it until Christmas time arrives.

While I don't have a lot of tips, I do however have the key being checking to make sure you're not getting it twice. That's the whole point of this is to tell you the truth. Just remember to enjoy your Holidays and be sure to have a great Christmas and a great New Year as well.

I did that to my husband once. I bought him a DVD that he already had. I was so upset! Great article.
